AMANDA Holden has shared her fears for this year’s series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here after Wales closed their border with England.

The ITV show now faces fresh chaos after it was announced that London – where many of the celebs live – will be moving into Tier 2 of lockdown from Saturday.

Amanda is concerned about I’m A Celeb’s fate

As of 6pm tomorrow [16 October], anybody who lives in Tier 2 and 3 areas of England and high-risk parts of Scotland and Northern Ireland will not be able to enter Wales, First Minister Mark Drakeford warned yesterday.

And 49-year-old Amanda fears that this means I’m A Celeb’s hosts Ant and Dec will be turned away at the border – and the beloved reality series may be forced to cancel.

She explained on her Heart FM Breakfast Show: “I wonder will it go ahead now? And what will happen to poor Ant and Dec? They’ve been so excited.

“It’s possible that they’ll get to the Welsh border and will be thrown back into London.

“I can’t imagine anyone turning away Ant and Dec, it would be the first time in their career.”

I’m A Celebrity was already forced to give up its usual location of the Australian jungle for spooky Gwrych Castle in November.

They have shelled out millions to secure the property for six weeks and make it suitable to film the TV show.

However, the ongoing coronavirus pandemic has kept the show’s fate up in the air, with ever-changing restrictions causing chaos behind-the-scenes.

Producers are closely monitoring the situation but it remains unknown what lockdown rules will be in place when filming is set to begin next month.

Due to the stars’ busy schedules, it will prove difficult to reschedule the programme if it can’t go ahead as planned, with Vernon Kay, AJ Pritchard, and Tamzin Outhwaite have all linked to this year’s series.
