AMANDA Holden needed to do a bit of damage control after her daughter claimed Simon Cowell and partner Lauren Silverman had split.
She has backtracked on Hollie’s comments by gushing about how “loved up” the couple are.
The Britain’s Got Talent judge said: “Funnily enough Lauren sent me some pictures the other day of Simon roasting a chicken.
“They are all loved up and cooking and enjoying things.
“I think this is the most time they’ve ever spent [with each other] since they’ve been together.
“It’s going very well. I think they’re all loved up and happy, and he’s cooking more than beans on toast, so that’s good.”
Her comments came after her daughter Hollie appeared on Amanda’s Instagram Live and said of Simon and Lauren: “I thought they broke up?”
Amanda promptly replied: “Don’t be stupid.”
A source has since told HOAR Online: “This was just a case of a kid being a kid; getting muddled up and getting things completely wrong.’’
A spokesperson for Simon told MailOnline: “Simon and Lauren are very much still together and are in lockdown together in California.”
Simon, 60, and Lauren, 42, who became a couple in 2013, have been spotted running errands together as well as entertaining their son Eric, 6.
HOAR later told how Lauren had previously confronted him about an alleged affair with Mel B.
But Simon’s ex-partner Sinitta, who this week posed naked in a bath for her new music video Paradise insisted that he has always been faithful – but won’t be walking up the aisle any time soon.
She said: “There was no Mel B affair. I was around them when Mel was on America’s Got Talent and she was otherwise happy and occupied.
“You never know what is going on behind closed doors – so I won’t buy a hat for their wedding.”
