The Britain’s Got Talent judge captioned the clip: “I Know Him So Well – Out Now! On my album SONGS FROM MY HEART link in bio.

“This was one of the first ever singles I ever bought (I gave it to my mum, who loved the song!)❤

“Thank you @sheridansmithster, it was wonderful to share this moment with you, every performance you give is so powerful and honest.

The song was originally a duet sung by Elaine Paige and Barbara Dickson, which was released in 1985.

Amanda, who signed a recording contract with Virgin EMI Records last year, gushed about new mum Sheridan in a separate Instagram post on Thursday evening.

Posting a picture of them cuddling up to one another, she wrote: “I’ve adored @sheridansmithster for years and we’ve always hugged when we met but we didn’t know each other very well.

Amanda gushed about Sheridan in a separate Instagram post

“I really wanted her to duet with me on ‘I Know Him So Well’ so I just asked her. She was heavily pregnant, but she couldn’t have been more enthusiastic or wonderful when I called her, and the final result is better than I even imagined ❤.”

Sheridan is no stranger to being in a recording studio, and in the music video for the new single, she looks right at home.

The Royle Family actress has released two albums herself; a self-titled one in 2017, and another called A Northern Soul in 2018.

She and Amanda have both enjoyed stints on stage in various musicals, with the latter having starred in Thoroughly Modern Millie, Shrek the Musical, and Stepping Out.

Meanwhile, Sheridan has enjoyed leading roles in productions including Legally Blonde, Hedda Gabler and Funny Girl.
