Cat continued presenting the show until 2002, and has remained good friends with Ant and Dec.

Talk of a reunion has been swirling for a couple of years since the show’s 20th anniversary, and when asked if there was a chance of the trio returning, Cat told The Daily Star: “Quite possibly.”

Recalling her time on the show, Cat added: “It was so much fun. Phillip Schofield once said to us, ‘You must remember how much fun it is while you’re doing it.’

“You never feel it at the time, because it’s live, and you feel a bit of the pressure of it but looking back on it, I think it’s the most fun we’ve ever had.”

Most recently in January this year. Dec, 44, teased a potential return for SM:TV Live to mark his and Ant’s 30th anniversary of working together.

He said: “Watch this space! We might do something a little bit later in the year but we’ll let you know when we’ve got more firm plans.”

The pair can currently be seen on Britain’s Got Talent before returning to Australia for I’m a Celebrity later in the year.

Dec also teased they might do something for his and Ants 30th nniversary later this year

Dec added: “Series 20 for I’m A Celebrity and that will be the 30th year me and Ant have been working together so it’s our 30th anniversary so we might do something for that later on in the year…”

After Ant and Dec left SM:TV Live, Cat hosted the show alongside former Hollyoaks actor James Redmond.

However he only lasted three months, and once Cat left in 2002, the show was hosted by a string of other celebrities including Tess Daly and Stephen Mulhern.
