AFTER a week of doubt around Simon Cowell’s relationship with girlfriend Lauren Silverman, his close pal and ex-lover Sinitta has revealed he’ll never marry her.

It comes after Amanda Holden’s eight-year-old daughter Hollie suggested Simon had split from the mother of his son Eric, and rumours Lauren envies his close friendship with Mel B who starred with him on America’s Got Talent.

Simon Cowell will never pop the question to his partner Lauren Silverman, says Simon’s close friend and ex-lover Sinitta

Now Sinitta, who is part of Simon’s inner circle and often joins him on trips abroad, has claimed the entertainment mogul will never pop the question to Lauren.

She said: “You never know what is going on behind closed doors — so I won’t buy a hat for their wedding.”

Sinitta, who dated Simon in the Eighties, also insists Lauren needs to loosen up about Simon’s friendships with female colleagues.

She said: “There was no Mel B affair. I was around them when Mel was on the show and she was otherwise happy and occupied.

Sinitta and Simon had a relationship in the 80s

“They are really good friends and Lauren should not have been so worried and upset about it. She had nothing to be upset about.”

Young Hollie interrupted an Instagram Live to mum Amanda’s 1.4million followers this week, claiming Simon and Lauren had split — to which Simon’s Britain’s Got Talent co-judge Amanda told her: “Don’t be stupid.”

Sinitta said: “Amanda is hilarious, she recovered from that as well as anyone could.”

Meanwhile, Heart Breakfast radio DJ Amanda has been backtracking, insisting Simon and Lauren are more loved up than ever.

Amanda, whose debut single Over The Rainbow in support of NHS Charities Together landed in the chart at No2, said: “Simon is doing pretty well.

“Lauren sent me a picture the other day of Simon roasting a chicken. They are all loved up and cooking — enjoying each other.

“This is the most time they have spent together and it’s going very well so I think they’re happy.”

Roger that.

Paw Demi looking for love

Being single in lockdown is clearly ruff for glamour model Demi Rose.

The brunette Brummie, who posed with her pet pooch on Instagram, has been checking out eligible bachelors on celeb dating app Raya.

Tiger Lily burning bright in studio

Music must run in the family for Tiger Lily Hutchence – as she’s followed in her late dad Michael’s footsteps by releasing her own tracks.

The daughter of the INXS frontman and Paula Yates has written acoustic songs under the mini-album name Tragic Tiger’s Sad Meltdown, featured on music-sharing site Bandcamp.

The singer, who has been living in Western Australia with her musician beau Nick Allbrook, was raised by her mum’s ex-husband Bob Geldof.

She said of her music: “It’s a little tape-recording I made while in Fremantle. It’s many different versions of a few songs and recordings of our big, beautiful ocean. I wish I could upload as one long dream but it won’t work.”

There is more, too, and it will be more upbeat. She said: “Part 2 is the banger.”

Nick is clearly a fan. He said: “It’s a beautiful coll-ection of songs and sounds by the most magical person I’ve ever known.” We’re sure record labels will be keen to snap up such rock royalty.

A bridge too far, Martin

Her career is soaring – but Fleabag star Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s love life is feeling the strain.

Phoebe, who also wrote BBC hit Killing Eve and has helped to script upcoming James Bond flick No Time To Die, has been dating playwright and film director Martin McDonagh for two years, but has not been able to see him during lockdown.

She has been self- isolating in London for the past two months with her composer sister Isobel, while Anglo-Irish Martin, director of 2008 comedy-crime movie In Bruges, has been in America working on a Broadway version of his 2015 play Hangmen.

A film source said: “Phoebe and Martin have found it hard to stay in touch. It’s been tough.

“Their careers are busy and they are dragged in different directions.

“Phoebe decided to isolate at home with her sister, who she gets on well with, and concentrate on work projects. She and Martin have always been low-key but their relationship has taken a back seat.”

Opening up about living with her sister in lockdown Phoebe, who signed a £50million deal with Amazon Prime last year, said: “It’s been so nice, I couldn’t imagine it going this well with anyone else.

“We’ve been having breakfast, lunch and dinner together and normally we are like ships passing in the night.”

Speaking on the Guilty Feminist podcast, she added: “I have had low moments, but this is a good time for me mentally because I get to write.”

Love letters might just be an idea.

Speaking on Instagram Live to crystal healer Emma – who has also worked with Victoria Beckham – Louise said: “I feel so proud of it now.

“I can’t help but talk about it and share it because I know it’s got me through some dark times.

“I’ve rung you in my darkest moments and you have managed to get me back up to reality.”

Louise, who starred on Strictly Come Dancing in 2016 opposite pro dancer Kevin Clifton, bravely opened up about her mental health.

She said: “I don’t suffer from depression in the clinical sense but definitely struggle with anxiety. I struggle with getting up sometimes.

“It’s about being kind to yourself and others.”

But daily lockdown workouts are paying off, as she showed off her toned physique on social media.

Canary Love Island 2020

WE may not be getting our usual dose of Love Island sun but ITV2 bosses have told potential contestants to stay single – as a delayed series could be filmed later in the year.

The prospect of an autumn series has been mooted to tease viewers as lockdown measures ease.

A delayed series of Love Island could be filmed later in the year

A source said: “The location is up in the air, as Majorca would maybe be a bit chilly by September/October, but the Canary Islands could be possible. Casting was well under way for the summer season and producers don’t want to lose some of the gems they had hand-picked.

“The winter series lacked a few standout characters, so they had been careful to find reality TV wannabes with looks as well as brains and personality.”

Let’s hope it’s an Indian summer.

Prue on the write track

Great British Bake Off judge Prue Leith is not letting age slow her down – the telly favourite plans to become a TV screenwriter.

Prue, who turned 80 earlier this year, has written a series of novels and pitched them to ITV and BBC as dramas but they have been rejected.

Having quite Bake Off, Prue Leith plans to become a TV screenwriter

Now she is banking on Netflix. She said: “What I want to do before I die is become a screenwriter.

“I want one of my novels to be made into a Sunday night drama. I write family love stories and my latest are a trilogy of novels I have been trying to get on to the BBC or ITV. I haven’t tried Netflix yet. Giving up is not in my vocabulary.”

She should give Channel 4, GBBO’s home, a go.
