CELEBS Go Dating fans were left cringing as Amy Childs rejected her date’s advances in an awkward kiss.

The 29-year-old star had enjoyed a second date with personal trainer Matt, but wasn’t ready to take things to the next level as they said their goodbye.

Viewers ‘couldn’t watch’ the awkward kiss

Viewers of the E4 dating series couldn’t believe their eyes as Matt pulled Amy in for a smooch – only for her to push back and peck him repeatedly on the lips.

Things got even more awkward as both seemed unsure on what to do with their arms, with Matt putting his over her shoulder then back down again before changing his mind and putting it back up.

Meanwhile, Amy has her hands on his face and appears to pull away from his embrace before changing her mind and leaning back into him.

The two then have a little cuddle before going their separate ways – but fans couldn’t disguise their horror at the exchange.

Another did the same, adding: “The winner of the most awkward kiss ever:”

A third stunned fan tweeted: “That kiss was so awkward. Hell on earth, embarrassed for them. What on earth was that?!”

Amy had tried to be more flirty on their date
Matt was unsure on Amy’s ‘banter’

Amy had previously been advised to be “more flirty” by the dating experts, but Matt seemed slightly less than impressed when he discussed their date to the camera.

He admitted that he struggled with the former Towie star’s lack of serious conversation – and seemed particularly dismayed that she’d asked him what type of sandwich he’d be.

Fans will have to tune in tomorrow to see if Amy and Matt go on another date or not, with Amy coyly admitting that she’d been “proud” of her efforts.
