GEMMA Collins is determined to keep the weight off by burning 400 calories a day on hikes up LA’s famous Runyon Canyon – just like Victoria Beckham.
The Sun Online revealed the Towie veteran, 38, bagged her own reality TV show in America and she flew to LA last week to start filming.
Gemma lost two and a half stone on Dancing On Ice and is determined to keep it off while out in LA.
A source told the Sun Online: “She is going on a Runyon canyon hike which will burn at least 400 calories a time – like Victoria Beckham.
“She knows she needs to work up a sweat to keep her weight down and she misses the endorphins from when she used to do 3 hour rehearsals on Dancing on Ice.”
The source added that Gemma has been bowled over by LA in just the few days she has been here, and has no plans to leave once filming wraps up at the end of the week.
Gemma, who split from on-off boyfriend James Argent earlier this month, is focusing on herself, the source said.
They told the Sun Online: “Gemma loves the vibe in LA – she even fell in love with the airport when she landed and was waiting 3 hours for her crew to arrive so she was just exploring.
“She loves the laid back lifestyle.
“She is on a soul searching mission and she is trying to find herself. She sees LA as her spiritual home.”
They continued: “Gemma is in no rush to go back home after filming wraps up this week on her show – that’s why she’s got all her suitcases – she wants to stay out here longer. ”
Gemma has already been taking in the top Hollywood sites – and enjoyed a star-studded night out with DOIskate partner Matt Evers, and Pussycat Doll Melody.
Matt promised to show Gemma around his town and he certainly delivered – taking her to LA’s hottest spot Chateau Marmont – a favourite of A-listers from the Beyonce to Brad Pitt.
Gemma made her return to Towie last Sunday and used the episode to announce her move to LA, telling 36-year-old Chloe Sims: “I need Sun, Chlo. I need glamour.”
