BILLIE Faiers has returned to Dancing On Ice after taking a week off to grieve the death of her beloved Nanny Wendy.

The Mummy Diaries star, 31, was heartbroken by the death of her grandmother, who passed away aged 77 from pneumonia.

Billie is set to return to Dancing On Ice this week

Billie took time out from Dancing On Ice last week following the news to come to terms with the devastating loss.

However, the mum-of-two is back on the ice today in preparation for this weekend’s show, alongside professional skating partner Mark Hanretty.

Reposting Mark’s Instagram story, Billie told her fans she was back to it, writing: “I have some serious catching up to do.”

Skater Mark had taken a photograph of some painkiller tablets, joking: “I’ve come prepared for training today Billie.”

He added a sticker to the photo saying they were “working hard” and “back at it again” after the week’s break.

Last weekend, the ITV show’s Holly Willoughby, 39, detailed how the former Towie star would be back on the ice after taking time out to grieve.

Mark told audiences on the show: “I’ve heard from Billie. She was incredibly close to her Nanny Wendy.

“I know her Nan was incredibly proud of her for doing it. It’s been a tough couple of weeks for her. I’m sure [Billie] will be back to it next week.”

Meanwhile, Billie took to Instagram to wish her fellow skating stars “good luck” for tonight’s show – which focuses on all things musicals.

“Good luck to my whole Dancing On Ice team tonight, you are going to be amazing,” she wrote on her Instagram story.

“I will be cheering you all on,” Billie added, alongside red heart and kiss-face emojis and a snapshot of the skating couples.

A Dancing On Ice spokesman confirmed Billie’s absence before the show last weekend, using her married name in a statement.

“Sadly due to a family bereavement, this week Billie Shepherd is taking a break from the ice and won’t be on Sunday’s show,” they said.

“We look forward to her returning next week and send her all of our love at this sad time.

The spokesperson said no further comment was being made, saying Billie and her Mummy Diaries star sister Sam Faiers requested privacy at this difficult time.

The reality stars’ grandmother died after being diagnosed with pneumonia, the Mail reports.

A source close to the family said the news came as a “complete shock” telling them: ‘The girls are completely devastated.

“They were very close with their Nan and her passing has come as a complete shock to the family.”

The pair are thought to have been granted time out from filming the The Mummy Diaries, their joint reality show.
