A FAVOURITISM row has been sparked on Dancing On Ice – with some celebs claiming their rivals have been gifted easier routines.

A handful of this year’s cast feel Colin Jackson, Faye Brookes and Jason Donovan have been given preferential treatment as they have prior experience in the specific style they skated to on Sunday night.

Faye Brookes has been caught up in a favouritism row on Dancing On Ice

Former Coronation Street actress Faye, 33, and her partner Hamish Gaman danced to Swan Lake by Tchaikovsky, despite her having had formal ballet lessons since her childhood.

Ex Olympian Colin, 53, and professional Klabera Komini performed a samba to Bamboleo by Gipsy Kings.

Colin danced the samba while taking part in Strictly Come Dancing – being trained by “Miss Whiplash” Erin Boag.

Insiders said the former Coronation Street star had been getting an easier ride alongside Colin Jackson, pictured above

And Neighbours icon Jason Donovan, 52, and Alexandra Schauman were given the tango, to Here Comes The Rain Again by Eurythmics.

Just like Colin, Jason competed in rival show Strictly where he danced the tango on three occasions, getting a perfect 40 marks alongside partner Kristina Rhianoff.

A show source said: “The trio seem to have a huge advantage going into this week.

“It’s not gone unnoticed by some of the celebrities and their partners and people have been discussing whether they’ve been given favourable treatment.

Jason Donovan has also been accused of having less difficult routines

“Skating is a hard thing to learn, but nailing a performance is made much easier if you’ve had a load of prior training in advance.”

COVIDiot comedian Rufus Hound was replaced by Matt Richardson, who will skate a Paso Doble to Somebody Told Me by The Killers.

Fellow latecomer Amy Tinkler, who came in for injured Denise Van Outen, is line dancing to 5, 6, 7, 8 by Steps.

And rapper Lady Leshurr will perform a swing routine to Candyman by Christina Aguilera.
