The actress, who plays Beth Tinker, uploaded a selfie of herself looking extremely glum with her head resting on her hand.

She wrote: “Omg I have just walked Into #altrincham to meet a friend and been verbally abused by a blonde woman with a black eye and her two mates.

“They aggressively goaded me and I didn’t reply that I was ‘Beth’ from Corrie. They then called me a f*****g slag!

“Horrific abuse in broad daylight when I was simply going about my business. I don’t appreciate this. I was not working and I’m allowed a private life.

“I do not tolerate bullies who openly abuse people with no cause or reason. Please be aware everyone as they were heard stating that they were going to ‘work the town’!”

Her comments section was soon filled with messages from fans who expressed their concern and said they hoped she was OK.

One said: “Oh how awful. Lots of love.”

Another commented: “So sorry you’d to go through this lisa no one deserves that.”

The strangers shouted at Lisa and called her a “f*****g slag”

A third said: “Absolutely no need at all for people to act in this manner hope you’re ok x.”

The star also posted what happened to her on her Twitter account and Greater Manchester Police Altrincham soon replied to her and apologised for what had happened.

They said: “Sorry to hear about what happened to you Lisa. It sounds like a frightening incident.

“If you would like to contact us via 101 or the online chat at crowd.in/ELMQtP with more information, we can log the incident and look at possible actions.”

Lisa recently became the seventh star to be voted off ITV’s Dancing on Ice after an tense skate off.

She was up against Scottish Paralympic sprinter Libby Clegg, 29, as she failed to impress the viewers at home with her routine.

After both couples had skated, the judges decided to save Libby and send Lisa home.

Ashley Banjo said: “Lisa, you came out in this skate off and skated like you meant it, you’ve been nervous, your confidence has been knocked but you skated like you meant it.”

Lisa was a natural on the ice because she skated when she was a child – but after an accident she lost her confidence

Lisa and professional partner Tom Naylor were voted off recently from the competition

Christopher Dean explained his choice, saying: “At this point in time it gets down to the nitty gritty, everyone could be a finalist. I’m looking at the technique and how they skated under pressure and Libby and Mark get my vote.”

Speaking about her time on the show, which has seen her suffer a number of slip ups on the ice and suffer a bad fall on her knee, Lisa said: “I’m made up that I got this far to be honest.

“I’ve had the best time ever, I’ve met the best people, I couldn’t ask for anything more.”
