DANCING On Ice champ Joe Swash looked knackered this morning after he stayed up all night partying his victory with his co-star Perri Kiely.

The 38-year-old narrowly beat the Diversity star, 23, to the crown of the ITV programme last night – and it looks like there were definitely no hard feelings between the two as they boogied the night away.

Joe looked absolutely exhausted as he left his hotel with skating partner Alex Murphy ahead of a day full of TV appearances including This Morning and Loose Women.

He opted for a simple yet stylish All Saints branded shirt, jeans and white trainers for his busy day ahead – and completed his outfit with a tweed farmers cap.

His co-star Perri, who placed second in the series, also looked worse for wear in his casual attire of an Ellese sports jumper, beanie and camel tracksuit bottoms.

During his first interview Joe couldn’t hide how he was feeling and admitted on ITV’s This Morning that he felt a bit tender because of his boozy antics.

Perri managed to crack a smile as he got into the taxi

As he waited for his slot on the show, he shouted over to Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby: “I’m hungover! How are you Phil?”

Phil replied: “Coming up we’ll be chatting to Dancing On Ice winner Joe Swash who won the trophy last night with Alex Murphy.

“Although we’ll be talking about the fact that he’s already lost it – in a minute.”

Cheeky Joe grinned and later admitted he had no idea what he’d done with the trophy, but had been assured it had been found.

The boozy night out proved too much for the winning pair

But at least the two could see the funny side of their hangovers

He said: “No we didn’t find it. We have been told someone has found it. You’d think it was ours. But they give it to us and then they put it in a box for next year.”

After their months of hard training the cast finally got to let loose – and contestant Trisha Goddard documented the whole thing on her Instagram.

She was seen dancing alongside all her pals, while Joe was keen to show off his moves off the ice and was even spotted grinding up against Trisha.

And while Joe was trying to deal with his hangover, Trisha posted a selfie of herself on Instagram with the caption: “Will. I. Never. Learn? 😖#morningafterthenightbefore@dancingonice
#afterparty Warning: @thismorning#makeupdepartment -you’ve got your work cut out for you in a moment!”

Some viewers were thrilled to see dark horse Joe come out on top after he started off in week one at the bottom of the leaderboard, while others were disappointed that Perri lost out after his “outstanding” Boléro and claimed he’d been “robbed”.

One said: “There ya go. I’ve said it many times before…give the British public a vote at your peril. Guaranteed to f*** it up. I like Swashy, lovely lovely fella, but the show is about the BEST dancer on ice. Perri absolutely robbed.”

Another added: “Joe Swash has had no dance background, no idea or practice on how to balance or trick or lift at all. To have his journey was beyond me! Well done, truly deserved! #DancingOnIce.”

Someone else said: “Well that was a surprise! That #bolero was outstanding @perrikiely !!! Quite a shock result #DancingOnIce.”

There are definitely no hard feelings between Joe and Diversity star Perri

Announcing the result, host Phillip Schofield said: “You have voted for your champion and it all comes down to this. I can tell you the vote has been incredibly close. The winner of Dancing on Ice 2020 is Joe Swash.”

The soap star, who paid tribute to Caroline Flack in his final performance of the show, looked overwhelmed as he was crowned champion.

He said: “Honestly, this has been the most amazing experience and to share it with Alex.”

Quizzing Perri on Joe’s shock win, Phil said: “Everyone thought you had this in the bag.”

Gracious in defeat, the Diversity star replied: “I’ve achieved everything I wanted to. Joe has come so far and I’ve genuinely made a friend for life with Joe, he’s my brother. I love you mate.”
