BRIANNE Delcourt is the “happiest girl in the world” following her engagement to Kevin Kilbane last night, but things haven’t always been smooth sailing for her.
The 38-year-old skating professional has had her fair share of heartache – and it seems she always meets her love interests at work.
Brianne met former footballer Kevin late last year when they were partnered for the 2020 series of Dancing on Ice, but this isn’t the first skating partner she’s fallen for.
The Canadian blonde has scored a hat-trick by dating three soap stars in the past, but they’ve all ended in tears.
Danny Young
Brianne started dating Coronation Street actor Danny after meeting him during theshow’s fifth series in 2010.
At the time, Brianne was partnered with Hollyoaks actor Kieron Richardson and Danny was dancing with pro-skater Frankie Poultney.
Despite not being paired up for the show, Danny and Brianne clearly got on and the couple started dating shortly after the series finished and moved in together later that year.
However, by the time the 2011 series had begun, the couple had already parted ways.
Danny, now 33, went on to date Chloe Madeley from 2013 until 2014.
Sam Attwater
It’s been rumoured that Brianne’s relationship with Danny broke down once she began rehearsals with her new celebrity partner, Sam.
The actor, who has appeared in Hollyoaks, EastEnders and Mr Selfridge, and Brianne announced that they were dating during the show, but many questioned the legitimacy of their relationship after Sam was pictured kissing another contestant.
Despite this, the couple were public about them dating, but after the show ended, they didn’t pursue a relationship.
Matt Lapinskas
Brianne clearly had a thing for soap stars, and by 2013 she was in the arms of EastEnders actor Matt Lapinskas.
The pair were partnered for Dancing on Ice, but Matt was dating his Walford co-star Shona McGarty at the time.
Despite Shona supporting him in the audience at the ITV show, Matt struck up a relationship with Brianne and it later transpired that he had cheated with her.
Matt and Brianne denied the allegations at the time, but the mum-of-one came clean once Matt dumped Brianne for a theatre actress.
Speaking to The Sun, Brianne said: “Matt has totally betrayed me. He’s been nasty and he’s lied, when all I’ve done for the last two years is try to help and protect him.
“I’ve stood by and lied for himabout when we got together as I loved him and didn’t want to hurt Shona,” she added.
Since then Brianne has gone to have a daughter named Gracie, who is now three-years-old.
However, she has never revealed who the father of her child is – despite being engaged to him at the time she fell pregnant.
Meanwhile, her new fianc was previously married for 12 years to Laura Harrison and has two daughters from the relationship.
The former Everton player got down on one knee at London steak restaurant STK and presented Brianne with a huge diamond engagement ring, which is rumoured to be worth 53,000.
The couple, who were voted off of Dancing on Ice last weekend, already live together.
