ANT McPartlin was doubled over with laughter on I’m A Celebrity last night – after their big opener was ruined by Declan Donnelly’s prop falling to pieces.

The pair had special megaphones that they were going to bellow through to herald the arrival of the famous Celebrity Cyclone challenge.

However, the batteries on 44-year-old Dec‘s one fell out of the back and rolled across the set – leaving his co-star roaring with delight.

The sketch started well, with Ant announcing to the crew: “Happy Cyclone Day, everybody. Oh come on guys, you can do better than that.”

The pair were then thrown mini megaphones to shout through, with Dec saying: “Let’s have it” until the batteries plopped unceremoniously to the floor.

Delighted, Ant laughed: “Clearly they can’t do better than that. You fools! I’ll do it.”

Dec then added weakly: “Hooray.”

Nonetheless, fans loved the blunder, with one tweeting: “Decs devastation at the batteries falling out of the megaphone .”

Another wrote: “IM CRYING AT DECS MEGAPHONE NOT WORKING.”

The pair soon managed to get the link back on track, with Dec explaining: “As ever the big winner on Cyclone day is Woolloomooloo fitness supplies superstore, who’ve just sold 350 inflatable exercise balls.”

Now only Roman Kemp, Jac Jossa and Andy Whyment remain

Ant added: “Yes – and one child’s skipping rope. Anyone know who the little skipping rope is for? Anybody? Tiny little skipping rope?”

Looking nervous, Dec added: “Nope, nobody knows. Moving on, moving on.”

But when he tried to introduce Caitlyn Jenner by shouting “Yeah” through his busted megaphone, 44-year-old Ant told him: “Nah, I’ll do it.”

Last night’s episode saw Kate Garraway eliminated from I’m A Celebrity, leaving Andy Whyment, Jacqueline Jossa and Roman Kemp battling it out for the winner’s crown.
