ANT and Dec tormented Beverley Callard on last night’s I’m A Celebrity, joking she’s too busy with her “megashag” husband Jon to watch the show after being voted off.

The cheeky Geordie duo wasted no time teasing the Coronation Street actress, 63, about her man’s impressive sexual prowess.

Ant and Dec dined out on Beverley Callard’s ‘megashag’ comments last night

Waltzing across their studio in front of Gwrych Castle, Dec said: “Welcome to Wales, the day after Beverley and Victoria left the camp.

“Since they’ve been in there, Victoria’s missed Brexit negotiations, tensions in the Cabinet and a second lockdown.”

Ant chipped in: “While Bev has missed megashag.”

Dec laughed: “Evening Jon, as if he’s watching TV…”

His pal jumped back in: “No chance. It might be on in the background but he’s certainly not watching it.”

After being voted off the show, Beverley admitted that she “wanted to die” when she realised the show had aired her crude nickname for her husband.

The star looked mortified when the comment popped up during her Castle Highlights.

She raised eyebrows in camp when she told her co-stars that she calls her Jon “megashag”, and tickled hosts Ant and Dec have repeatedly mentioned it on air ever since.

Beverley insisted that she didn’t think viewers would have seen the clip, during an appearance on Lorraine.

The actress looked sheepish as Lorraine said: “We talked to your lovely husband yesterday and I think he’s quietly very happy of his nickname, he’s quite enjoying the attention.”

Beverley replied: “I can’t believe they aired that.

“I just thought they were quite bad words so they’ll edit that, when Ant and Dec played the clip for me last night I wanted to die.”

She repeated: “I wanted to die.”

Lorraine giggled as she brushed off Beverley’s embarrassment, insisting: “It was funny, it was a laugh – as he said himself, it could have been a lot worse.”

Jon admitted he saw the funny side when he appeared on Lorraine

Bev and Victoria Derbyshire were eliminated from I’m A Celeb

The actress has been happily married to recording studio owner Jon for the last ten years.

But she previously revealed that she wanted to “stay single forever” before meeting him, and that she was initially reluctant to go on a blind date.

Jon is the star’s fourth husband. Bev was previously married to Paul Atkinson between 1974 and 1977, David Sowden between 1980 and 1988, and Steve Callard from 1989 until 2001.

Beverley has two children, 45-year-old Rebecca and 31-year-old Joshua.
