The Geordie duo returned to our screens tonight, just 24 hours after the Prince appeared in a car crash BBC Newsnight interview.

As the pair introduced the latest batch of celebrities, which includes Caitlynn Jenner and Ian Wright, Ant, 43, said: “Ten celebrities, all very nervous, all of them sweating…”

But Dec, 43, cheekily interjected: “Presuming they can sweat. Not everybody can, apparently.”

In a later link they made another joke at the Prince’s expense, with Dec saying: “But will those five celebrities be a) confident b) excited or c) absolutely sweating.”

Ant added: “Presuming they can sweat” and Dec quipped again: “Not everybody can, not everybody can.”

During the Newsnight interview, Prince Andrew, 59, spoke about his links with disgraced millionaire Jeffrey Epstein during an “unvetted questions” interview with Emily Maitlis last night.

At one point he said: “Theres a slight problem with the sweating because I have a peculiar medical condition which is that I dont sweat or I didnt sweat at the time.

“I didnt sweat at the time because I had suffered what I would describe as an overdose of adrenalin in the Falklands War when I was shot at and it was almost impossible for me to sweat.

“And its only because I have done a number of things in the recent past that I am starting to be able to do that again.

The pair kept joking about whether the celebrities would be sweating or not

“So Im afraid to say that theres a medical condition that says that I didnt do it.”

It comes as the Duke’s PR advisor Jason Stein confirmed he had resigned two weeks ago after warning Andrew not to do the car crash interview.

And public relations and crisis consultant Mark Borkowski said: “I have never seen anything so disastrous. For any students of PR that is how not to do it.

“It was like watching a man in quick sand and unfortunately, I don’t think anyone would have thrown him a line to get him out.”
