CAITLYN Jenner revealed she banned her step-daughter Kim Kardashian from talking about the OJ Simpson trial at home.
The I’m A Celeb star branded OJ’s trial a “joke” on tonight’s show and admitted the whole ordeal was a “sad story” that involved very close friends.
Journalist Kate Garraway boldly brought up the trial saying she was working in regional news at the time.
“It was the first time that anybody saw anything like it, you were at the heart of it werent you,” she said.
Caitlyn was married to Kris Jenner – who was best friends with Nicole Brown Simpson when she was tragically murdered.
OJ Simpson was put on trial for the murder and Robert Kardashian – Kris former husband – was on OJs defence team.
Caitlyn said: “I saw Nicole two days before she was murdered, it was Kris best friend, we were right in the middle of it.
“Her ex-husband Robert, OJ was the best man at their wedding. ”
“It was a bad time for everybody, very difficult, we knew what happened and this trial was a joke and when the verdict came down Kris just turned around to me and goes, ‘we should have listened to Nicole from the beginning, she was right,’”
She continued: “That night the verdict came in Kourtney and Kimberly were in school and obviously they loved their father, and they should, and theyd been following this for a year and a half and when they walked in the door.
“I think it was Kourtney who said: ‘Well I told you he didnt do it.’
“And I just said to the girls ‘just because he got a not guilty didnt mean he didnt do it and I dont want his name ever mentioned in this house again.’”
Kate asked if Caitlyn liked OJ.
“No. Too big an ego for me,” she replied.
“We went on some vacations together with OJ and Nicole and the kids.
“I liked Nicole and she sure didnt deserve what she got.
In the Bush Telegraph, Jacqueline Jossa said: “Caitlyn has been involved in some huge, news breaking stories and she is so open and honest about it and its a lot to take in, they were good friends and its a sad story.”
