I’M A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! fans have claimed James Haskell lost Cliff Parisi’s immunity on PURPOSE as they spotted a tell-tale wink between the pair.

Cliff, 59, was unable to make it to the trial clearing due to falling unwell – nominating the 34-year-old rugby player to take his place.

Fans spotted James wink at Cliff

James won himself immunity in the challenge, but failed to do the same for the former EastEnders star.

While some viewers took to social media to slam the hunk for “not even trying” when it came to Cliff’s task, the more eagle-eyed believe that Cliff had ASKED him to lose.

Cliff was in the camp eagerly awaiting his fellow contestants’ return when James made a beeline for him and nonchalantly said: “I tried bud, I really did.

“I tried my best but I couldn’t do it.”

The rugby hunk grinned as he walked away

Cliff immediately replied: “That’s alright”, with the pair high-fiving – and fans claim to have seen a cheeky wink from James to Cliff before he grinned and walked away.

Speculating that the actor wants to be eliminated from camp because he’s had enough of jungle life, one fan wrote: “Cliff definitely talked to James telling him to lose, did you see that wink!”

Another added: “Not so subtle with your wink at Cliff there, James. #ImACeleb #Cliffwantsout”.

A third said: “James drank slow because Cliff WANTS to go home.”

Some have speculated that James purposefully drank slowly

If that was Cliff’s plan then unfortunately it didn’t quite work, with Adele Roberts the first celeb to be voted off after 13 days in the jungle.

However, Cliff did face backlash for being exempt from yet another trial on medical grounds in tonight’s episode of the show.

He has been excluded from several of the show’s iconic Bushtucker Trials since he made his late arrival to camp last week.

Cliff has faced backlash after being exempt from several Bushtucker Trials

Tonight, hosts Ant and Dec revealed that the former EastEnders star wouldn’t be competing in Sickening Circus as he couldn’t make it to the trial clearing for “medical reasons”.

They added that Cliff had nominated James to take part on his behalf, with the 12 celebrities going head-to-head in a bid to win their evening meal and immunity.

James took on Andy Whyment to win his own immunity, beating the Corrie actor in finishing their drink of blended fish eyes.

Participating for Cliff, James then had to compete against Myles Stephenson with a glass of blended pig’s anus.
