I’M A Celebrity’s Shane Richie said he was “broken” after completing The Chamber of Horros trial with AJ Pritchard amid their feud tonight.
Shane begged “no more, I’m done, I really am done” after completing his six trial in camp.
The pair were chosen by viewers to do tonight’s trial after exchanging blows over the washing up this week.
Despite their differences they worked together and had a hard job on their hands with six gruelling rounds with maggots, locusts and rats raining down on them.
The EastEnders star and Strictly pro were sealed in a chamber with their body below ground and their head above it.
In each round they both needed to get the star off of the thread using their tongue and mouth only.
It was a relay race against the clock, and the trial got progressively harder as time ran out.
AJ said he could sense the strain from Shane: “You’re shaking. I feel you shaking.”
AJ volunteered to go first in the first round and could be heard joking: “The curl cream is not going to survive this” as maggots and giant meal worms rained down on them.
But Shane encouraged AJ saying: “Smash it my pal.”
The pair secured 11 out of 12 stars for camp – and viewers were amazed they did so well.
One viewer said: “Oh my god that trial was the worst yet. I actually had tears in my eyes for them the longer it went on for. Great job Shane and AJ”
Another wrote: “That trial was maaaad, so proud of Shane and AJ”
The 56-year-old Alfie Moon star had been left looking unimpressed earlier in the week when AJ criticised his cleaning of the camp’s pans – and even scrubbed them himself until they shone.
