I’m A Celeb’s Vernon Kay breaks down in tears as Beverley Callard gives him her spa day treat

I’M A Celebrity’s Vernon Kay broke down in tears tonight after co-star Beverley Callard offered him her spa day treat.

The presenter, 46, was overwhelmed by the generous gesture that came after Bev, 63, was covered in snakes, cockroaches and insects in the Mean Massage challenge.

Bev, along with Giovanna Fletcher, Jessica Plummer and Ruthie Henshall were chosen by drawing sticks — then covered in critters while lying on massage tables in their swimming suits.

After they successfully completed the challenge each then chose a celeb to enjoy the castle spa, complete with facemasks and the new hot tub.

Giovanna told the camp: “The purpose of it was so we could win a proper luxury spa.”

“We had to choose one person each,” Beverley added. “None of us chose ourselves.”

Bev then announced she’d chosen Vernon, who immediately got emotional, as she said: “I chose Vernon. I love you Vernon and I was thinking about Tess and your girls and I just thought he deserves it.”

Gobsmacked, Vernon replied: “Bev, thank you.”

“You’re crying,” she said as she passed him the robe with his name on.

Vernon remarked: “I’m not crying” as he wiped away tears from his eyes and hugged the Corrie star.

Viewers at home loved seeing the sweet moment.
