ANT McPartlin might joke he’s staying in a rickety caravan while he and Dec are filming I’m A Celebrity – but in reality the pair are living it up in a luxury cottage.

While the campmates suffer and starve in the ruins of Wales’s Gwrych Castle, the presenting duo have all the home comforts they could need in a £1,000-a-week pad.

Our exclusive snaps show the pair’s retreat is perfect for unwinding after a long day shooting at the historic landmark.

A large open plan kitchen/diner provides a relaxing place for the duo to prepare and eat meals, and is a far cry from the basic stove the celebs dine around.

They can put their feet up and watch back the previous night’s show in a spotless living room with two sofas, an arm chair and foot rest.

The pristine bathroom couldn’t be further away from the grotty castle shower which requires campmates to pump the hot water for their co-stars.

Ant and Dec’s bathroom has a walk-in power shower, ensuring they’re the freshest people in the castle grounds.

Then there are numerous light and airy bedrooms for them to take their pick from, with not a hammock in site.

And there are some added luxury extras on site too, such as a trout lake and a hot tub.

While the presenters are in their large cottage, the rest of the I’m A Celeb crew are staying at the Golden Sands Holiday Park in Rhyl, North Wales, a convenient 15 minutes from Gwrych Castle.

The caravan park usually offers Sun readers holidays for £9.50.

A source told us: “Thankfully, Golden Sands is more than equipped to host the giant crew, and is award-winning and really popular for holidaymakers.

“They might not get a tan though.”
