I’M a Celeb runner up Andy Whyment has given fans a glimpse inside his welcome home party where he reunited with Corrie co-stars including Alan Halsall and Sam Aston.

The 38-year-old actor was a huge hit with fans on the ITV reality show, and finished just behind Queen of the Jungle Jacqueline Jossa during last Sunday’s final.

After the long journey back from Australia, Andy was finally able to reunite with his wider friends and family at a party in his honour.

Posting pictures on social media, Andy – who plays Kirk Sutherland in Coronation Street – beamed as he posed with his co-star Sam, who plays Chesney Brown.

Also in attendance was Alan Halsall, who plays Tyrone Dobbs, with him and Andy posing happily side by side for another picture.

The venue was adorned with balloons, while Christmas decorations hung from the ceiling and stage.

Andy was also reunited with a number of jungle critters including a snake thanks to a company called Curious Critters.

During the Coming Out Show, a sobbing Andy vowed never to leave his children Thomas, 10, and Hollie, eight, again having spent three weeks away from them in the jungle.

After narrowly missing out on being crowned King of the Jungle, Andy made a beeline for wife Nicola and told her how much he missed her.

There were tears all around for the big reunion

Since leaving the jungle Andy has said his new fame won’t change him and he’s desperate to get back to his “boring life” of sitting on the sofa and going to Asda.

He said he wasn’t even going to spend his big-money earnings from the show on anything exciting – insisting he’ll pay off his mortgage.

He told the Daily Star: Im looking forward to getting back and just getting into my normal boring life of just getting home from work, closing the front door and sitting on the sofa and watching telly.”
