HEARTBROKEN Tom Fletcher struggled to watch I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! last night as his wife Giovanna broke down in tears.

The 35-year-old McFly star looked emotional as he reacted to the scenes on Instagram, admitting that it was the “hardest thing” he’s had to watch so far.

Giovanna, also 35, couldn’t hide her upset when she was just one of three celebrities to not be given a message from home in the castle – and the only one with children to miss out.

Tom filmed the moment as it unfolded on his TV at home, before telling fans: “That was really tough to watch.

“It was awful seeing her getting upset about a letter from home, I wish she got it.

“Everyone must be really craving it but especially those with young kids, they must really crave that connection from home.

Tom admitted it was the ‘hardest thing’ he’d had to watch

“That’s been the hardest thing to watch so far.”

The singer, who shares six-year-old Buzz, four-year-old Buddy, and two-year-old Max with Giovanna later added: “It was really tough tonight when she didn’t get her letter from home.

“That was really difficult to watch, it was horrible to see her upset but she’s still there.

“Hopefully she will get another chance to win her letter from home, it was horrible seeing that.”

Looking downtrodden, Tom then blew a raspberry at the camera – also adding a broken heart emoji as he retweeted the clip from the show on his Twitter page.

Giovanna’s brother Mario Falcone also shared his reaction to the moment, posting a meme on Instagram showing someone scaling the castle walls.

The text reads: “Me breaking into the castle to bring Giovanna a treat from home.”

Mario captioned the pic: “Hard to watch tonight @mrsgifletcher.”

Giovanna’s family understandably found her tears hard to watch last night

Viewers were horrified that Giovanna wasn’t chosen for the treat

Giovanna, AJ Pritchard, and Jordan North were the only three celebrities out of 11 to not get the treat – with the campmates deciding who got each message.

Viewers at home were horrified that the stars did not choose Giovanna, considering she has three young children, and flocked to Twitter to share their outrage.

One fan seethed: “Right, as much as I do like this group someone should’ve given Giovanna their treat that was actually cruel.”

Another agreed: “Them not thinking to give Giovanna her treat from home is one of the meanest things I think I’ve ever seen? After everything she’s done?”

A third added: “Nahhhhh these lot not picking Giovanna for a treat from home is a disgrace. She’s got 3 little kids and she really should have come first. Fraudulent f***ers.”

Giovanna couldn’t hold back her tears as she realised she wouldn’t get the treat, reflecting in the Bush Telegraph: “How lovely would it be to hear from Tom and the boys, just a sentence?

“Your heart aches and then you attach yourself to anything… it’s a sentence and I’m going to pretend each sentence anyone gets is from the kids and I’m going to adopt them like they’re mine.”
