RICHARD Madeley was all smiles as he was seen for the first time since his hospital dash and I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! exit.

The 65-year-old star looked happy and relaxed as he was pictured outside of his and wife Judy’s London home.

Richard was dressed for comfort in a baggy white jumper and dark trousers, and casually sipped on a mug of tea as he made his way outside.

At one point, the TV favourite gave the waiting photographers a thumbs up following his medical scare – and was seen receiving letterbox flowers from a loved one.

Richard was left “gutted” after being forced out of the ITV reality series yesterday, with the presenter unable to return to camp despite being cleared by doctors.

After being rushed to hospital in the early hours of the morning, Richard was unable to return to the castle because he’d broken the show’s ultra secure Covid bubble.

This morning, GMB’s Ben Shephard admitted that he’d heard Richard might be “too ill” to appear on the breakfast show next week.

However, the star is set to break his silence on his departure in a bombshell interview with Ant and Dec on tonight’s I’m A Celeb.

In a statement, he’d previously admitted to being “gutted” to leave the show after just four days – with his daughter Chloe saying on Instagram that he is “livid”.

She told her followers: “Dad’s absolutely fine, we’ve been speaking to him all day.

“Ultimately, he’s just livid he can’t go back into camp because of Covid restrictions. He did himself proud though. He worked hard and was his calm, collected, kind and funny self. We are so proud!”

However, Richard is expected to pick up his full £200,000 fee  because his departure was out of his control.

Richard left stars and production staff terrified with his health scare – which saw medics rush to Gwrych Castle, where the ITV show is filmed.

A source told us: “It was horrifying – campers were really upset and concerned, all of the crew and medics rushed to set to help him. It was a real scare for everyone involved.”

A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 05.43am this morning, Thursday 25 November 2021, to reports of a medical emergency at Gwrych Castle in Abergele, Conwy.

“We sent a paramedic in a rapid response car and an emergency ambulance to the scene, and one patient was taken to hospital.”

“GUTTED”

Speaking in a statement yesterday afternoon, Richard explained: “I started to feel briefly unwell in the small hours of the morning and was taken to hospital as a precaution. By leaving the camp, I had consequently broken the Covid ‘bubble’ and as such I’ve had to leave the castle and all the wonderful celebs that remain in the camp.

“Obviously I’m gutted to be leaving so soon but the safety of all the campmates is the number one priority. I’m incredibly excited to watch their journey continue…even more so at the prospect of being somewhere a little warmer than Gwrych Castle…”

Meanwhile, viewers blamed the show for making the star ill after he undertook a gruelling Bushtucker Trial that saw him visibly shaking from the “freezing” cold.
