What has Kate Garraway said about doing I’m a Celebrity and how much is she being paid?

HOAR revealed the Good Morning Britain host had signed up to appear on the ITV show in October 2019.

The anchor has not yet spoken about landing the gig but revealed in March 2019 that her children Darcey and William were desperate for her to take part.

She explained: I think its completely terrifying but its also a brilliant show to watch, so I dont know. My kids would love me to do it, I dont know what that says.

It is not known how much Kate is being paid, but it is likley to be around 50,000.

Beside her work on Good Morning Britain, Kate has also stepped in for Lorraine on her, when she is on holiday.

She has also worked in radio and began her broadcasting career at BBC Radio Oxford as a journalist in 1994.

Kate has been married twice.

In 1998 she married her former boss at Meridian, Ian Rumsey, but they divorced in 2002.

In September 2005, Kate married Derek Draper.

Derek was a political aide to former Labour cabinet minister Peter Mandelson, and was at the centre of the scandal known as “Lobbygate”.

In July 2018, Kate revealed that she had a mini-crisis when she turned 50 but admits that her sex life is much better than when she was in her 20s.

However, she was branded ‘pathetic’ byGloria Hunniford over her confessions that she liked to make her husband jealous to keep things interesting.

Kate made the switch to mainstream TV and became a household name when she joined the presenting team of GMTV in 2000.
