LOVE Island star Amy Hart can smile confidently as she gets her teeth fixed after trolls bullied her for years over her pearly whites.
Amy, 27, underwent a £100,000 makeover thanks to celebrity dentist, Dr Richard Marques.
The reality star showed off her new look on Instagram last month but has now opened up that she still gets upset over the past trolling.
“If people think I’m defined by my teeth that’s their issue, but bottom line is, I had them done for me because I was unhappy with them,” she wrote on Instagram.
“I had gappy teeth when I was younger, then I had braces.
“People said horrible things about my teeth my entire life, so it was a big thing to have them done at 17.”
Amy admitted getting veneers done when she was a teenager because she felt “so self-conscious”.
Even though she has had work done on her teeth, the star admitted she had flashback of some of the horrible things people said to her over the years.
Amy said she has “snapshot moments of the horrible things people have said to me”.
Along with 14 veneers, Amy has had three bridges which caused her teeth to discolour, gums to erode and changed the shape of her mouth.
She decided to undergo the massive transformation with Dr Marques and the two have been working on her snappers since late 2019.
The former air hostess recently revealed her gleaming new smile on Instagram.
Taking to her Instagram Stories, Amy explained how thrilled she was with her new teeth as she travelled to ITV Studios in West London to film a new TV show.
Looking glam, the ITV2 star beamed as she sported a dramatic beauty look and worked her hair into an old Hollywood style for her appearance.
Amy went into detail about her new smile and explained how Dr Richard kept the “character” of her original smile.
She shared: “So here is the final product of my teeth.
“I told Dr Richard when I was getting them that I wanted to still keep the character.
“I didn’t want to look like I had a bright white mouth guard in and widen my smile out. I think you can all agree it has… so thank you Dr Richard”.
Amy’s revelations of the impact of bullying came just days after she scrapped plans to have second boob job.
Her breasts have grown so ‘huge’ this year she’s had a change of heart.
She told the Star: “I wanted to have my boobs done again, but in the past six months they’ve gone huge.
“Everyone said to me, ‘Don’t have your boobs done at 20, because they get bigger’, and I was like, ‘No, they won’t’.
“But now they’ve got really huge, so I don’t think I’d have anything else done.”
