CAROLINE Flacks ex Danny Cipriani has shared his last messages with the tragic star and said the CPS and police didnt “do a good job” on her case.

The rugby star says he has been “grieving hard” since Caroline took her own life ahead of her assault trial.

Danny Cipriani has questioned why the police and CPS continued with Caroline Flack’s assault case

She had been accused of attacking her boyfriend Lewis Burton during a row at their home before Christmas.

The day before her death she was told the CPS was pursuing a case against her – despite Lewis dropping the charges.

In an emotional post on Instagram that explained he is quitting social media for Lent, Danny shared a screenshot of hisfinal messages with Caroline.

He asked: “Why you just OK? Want you smiling”, and Caroline replied: “Well got court case coming up.”

Danny shared Caroline’s last messages to him

He did not share his reply to the Love Island presenter.

Instead he wrote a passionate message about his grief and how he felt about the lawmakers who pursued Caroline’s case.

Danny wrote: “She wasnt allowed to talk to her BF throughout the case because of the law.

“He wanted the charges dropped. They wanted to pursue.

“I am not pointing fingers. The CPS and police do a good job. Just saying we cant always do a good job.”

Danny explained his ex-girlfriend affectionately called him “black dot” because of what he changed his WhatsApp picture to.

“This is my grieving process, which is talking a lot,” Danny said.

“Which my friends and family and teammates have had to take this last 10 days because Im grieving. “And Im grieving hard. Hence Im talking a lot.

“Im not sure Id be strong enough if I didnt understand or see myself in her. Pain is pain. It doesnt matter if youve lost a cat. Or been called a name. No ones pain is worse or less.

“Because it is individual to them and how they take it.”

He added: “She was kind beyond belief. And she would think i am crazy doing all this. But I know she would be proud.

“Im taking lent off social media. Thank you all for the kind messages. And all the lovely response.

“Thank you for the bad response. Its my story.”

Danny says he will return to social media in a month “because thats 2020 and this is me navigating my way through life”.

He recently revealed he still has a voicemail from Caroline that she left two weeks before she died.

Danny said he hasn’t listened to it yet, but will share “at some point” because “people need to hear it”.

He also told fans that he hadn’t been able to return the 40-year-old’s calls and texts because he was playing for Gloucester against Exeter in the Gallagher Premiership on Friday evening before she died.

The former couple were seeing each other for eight weeks in 2019.

They remained close after their relationship ended on good terms.
