CHLOE Ferry has been busted making up stories about future Love Island contestants and her fans are not happy.
The Geordie Shore beauty shared a fake news story about a future contestant on the reality dating show for money.
Chloe, 24, posted a screenshot of a fake news story that foreign exchange mentor Reginald (Reggy) Trades will be joining this year’s Love Island.
“Reggy Trades confirmed to be in the line up of the hit show Love Island 2020, can’t believe he is going on the show, this will be interesting, follow and support him Reggy Trades, good luck hun,” she wrote in the caption.
The caption ended with a ‘#ad’ meaning she had been paid for to post the message, but it is not known who was paying her.
While another pointed out that Chloe herself doesn’t even follow the stocks educator on Instagram.
Reggy – who’s real surname is MacDonald – shared Chloe’s post on his own Instagram stories but did not confirm or deny her claims.
The summer season of the ITV2 show is likely to start airing in June but producers have not announced any contestants yet.
Fans were very annoyed that she shared the post and accused her posting it simply for the money.
“lmao this girl will do anything for money won’t she,” asked one Instagram user.
One user wrote: “Don’t believe anyone’s been confirmed at all. Is this just so he gets likes for his “trades”? Should use your fame for good, not any old rubbish for a few likes.”
“You must realize this is a scam?” wrote one Instagram fan in response to others getting excited about the fake announcement.
Some users rushed to Chloe’s defence arguing it was just harmless post, that wouldn’t do damage to anyone.
“Everyone just mad that you’re working a 40h week job to get paid every month what she does to post 1 pic on IG skdksk I’d post bare BS too if I was paid lmao,” wrote on of Chloe’s defenders.
Chloe will need all the money she can get her hands on after buying a enormous house believed to be worth about £1million.
The reality star moved into her new pad in February which includes a jaw-dropping bathroom and sleek kitchen, are decorated top to bottom in grey and white.
Her brand new house also boasts a cinema style lounge and a vast bed.
“This is what I’ve been keeping a secret. This is my new humble abode,” she told fans as she toured them around her new digs on Instagram.
Chloe shot to fame on series 10 of Geordie Shore in 2014 when she appeared on the show with her now ex Sam Gowland.
The Newcastle TV star quickly became a fan favourite and made her way around the reality circuit appearing on Ex On The
each, BBC Three’s Sun, Sex and Suspicious Parents and Celebrity Big Brother in 2017.
Chloe and Sam split in 2019 after almost two years of dating, with Chloe accusing him of sleeping with Love Island star
Amber Davies, just one day after they broke up.
She shared her heartbreak with fans, crying on her social media channels that she felt “really, really hurt”.
But in a new twist, Sam has been taking Forex lessons with Reggy and encouraged his followers to join him in learning how to trade.
“People have been trading and making profits for quite some time now, all thanks to @reggy.trades! He has been teaching and guiding them to generate a secondary income!” Sam wrote on Instagram.
“Reggy will help you set up your own trading account, then continue to mentor you to ensure your on the right track.
Drop him a follow now and DM him! There is no experience needed!”
The Sun Online has reached out to Love Island producers to confirm Reggy’s involvement in the show.
