CARL Woods has defended his girlfriend Katie Price saying there was too much “negative stigma” around her.
The former Love Island star, 31, took to his Instagram stories to praise Katie after the release of her BBC documentary, Harvey and Me.
The 42-year-old reality star gave cameras unprecedented access to her life with disabled son Harvey, 18.
Harvey and Me had viewers in tears when it premiered this week, with impressed viewers flocking to social media to heap praise on Katie for being such a devoted mother.
They weren’t the only ones heaping praise on Katie, as Carl hoped the doco would help people see she is a “good person” and devoted mum.
Sitting on the couple’s sofa, wearing a grey top, Carl sent a heartfelt message to his fans.
He said to the camera: “Kate’s documentary’s been out for couple of days now and people have seen it and I hope everybody’s liked it. I was there for the filming and saw it all being put together and just knew it was going to be fantastic.
“I think the most important part though is that hopefully now everybody can see how much of a wonderful mother Kate is and how much she loves her son and how sweet and innocent Harvey is.”
Carl added: “So anybody who trolls these two people, I mean, you’ve really got to question yourself because if you watch it, none of that is made up that is absolutely genuine.
“It’s a mother and a son who love each other and are going through a journey together.”
Carl continued to gush about his girlfriend, even praising her exes Peter Andre and Kieron Hayler.
“I just want to say I’m so proud of them, I’m proud of Harvey he is a really sweet boy and Kate is absolutely superb mother and I hope people see a different side to Kate and understand exactly what she’s up against in her life and I couldn’t be prouder of the pair of them,” he said.
“There’s been a lot of negative stigma around Kate and hopefully you can all see now what she’s been up against over the years.
“She’s raised a lovely, polite young man. Harvey is an absolute dream, all five of her kids are wonderful.”
Carl added: “The other four are a credit to her and a credit to their dads, she’s got it down to a tea.
“Hopefully you can now see she’s not a bad person, you can all see she’s just a loving mum and she’s just doing her best for her kids that’s all
“Hopefully you enjoyed it and you can all see the real Kate now.”
In the doc, Katie shared her heartbreak as she explained that Harvey will smash her house up due to his conditions, with the sound of closing doors one of his biggest triggers.
She also discussed her fears about Harvey being detained in a mental health facility, as well as her concern that he will not be able to cope when she dies.
Both Peter and Kieron gushed about Harvey after the documentary, with Peter writing “he’s the best” alongside two heart emojis on HOAR’s Instagram post about the doco.
The Mysterious Girl hitmaker isn’t the star’s only ex to send Harvey their love this week, with her third ex-husband Kieran Hayler also reaching out.
The 33-year-old star took to his Instagram page to share a sweet throwback photo of the teen holding hands with half-siblings Jett, seven, and six-year-old Bunny – Kieran’s children with Katie.
He captioned the post at the time: “I love your bond with Jett and Bunny.
“Always been so strong so proud of you @officialmrharveyprice”
