LOVE Island’s presenting team and cute couple Laura Whitmore and Iain Stirling are soaking up South African safari delights after the show wrapped.

Laura, 34, who was praised for her bravery as she battled the tears during a segment commemorating her late pal and show host Caroline Flack, shared the details of their downtime on her Instagram page.

The pair were seen soaking up the sunshine and joined by a particularly placid looking lion in the background of the shot, as they posed during their wild safari adventures.

Laura’s first season of fronting the ITV2 matchmaking series alongside hilarious voiceover man Iain, 32, was tinged with huge sadness after Caroline’s tragic suicide.

She made tacit reference to Caroline’s legacy to ‘be kind’ and feel good vibes in her safari caption, with the words: “1 million followers! Thank you.

“I promise to use this space to talk about real issues, promote positivity… and post pictures of me wearing clothes I like – because well, it is Instagram.”

On Sunday, Love Island fans were in tears at the extensive video tribute to Caroline, and took to Twitter to praise the Irish host for holding it together.

The 40-year-old former host passed away last Saturday at her home in London, and theIslanders were told about her death off-camera ahead of the final.

Laura was announced as Caroline’s replacement shortly after she stepped down as host.

Fans have since taken to Twitter to praise Laura’s hosting efforts – despite the difficult circumstances.
