HIS mega-selling single Someone You Loved became the heartbreak ballad of 2019 but the ex-love who inspired Lewis Capaldi’s track has revealed he was never a natural charmer with the ladies.
In fact, Paige Turley, who dated the Scottish singer-songwriter for 18 months before he found fame, said he is terrible with women.
She spoke up ahead of her debut appearance in the new winter series of Love Island this weekend.
To be fair, Ive met modest Lewis and I reckon he would say that too so Im sure he wont mind too much.

The Sun first revealed that Paige had signed up to be in the ITV2 dating show last week, but she says she didnt tell her famous ex that she would be flying to Cape Town in South Africa to join the other contenders in the villa.
She added: I would love to be a fly on the wall, just to see all my friends reactions. To be like, Oh, my God. Thats actually her. Itll be a surprise for everybody.
I think Lewis will find the fact Im on the show quite funny. But you never know, he might even vote.

Of Someone You Loved, which spent seven weeks at No1, Paige said: Hes never ever said to me, This is about you. Obviously its a really relatable song, for everyone. Hes great, hes so talented. Anybody listening to his music, itd be hard to say anything negative.
Asked how she would feel if they played Lewiss hit over clips of her in the villa, she said: I mean, its a great song. Its relatable, and it would probably fit right in. That will be my walk-in song, probably.
If so it would send it straight back to No1 again, so I cant see Lewis complaining.
