LOVE Island 2020 is well underway, with new Islanders popping up left, right and centre in the villa.

Here’s the full batch of this year’s single contestants hoping to find their type on paper in the swanky South African villa.

Demi Jones

Demi is a 21-year-old style advisor from Portsmouth.

The redhead beauty is also a University of Winchester graduate with a degree in Archaeology and History.

Her dream career is to work in Rome as a museum curator once she’s perfected her Italian.

She describes herself as bubbly, reliable, friendly and says her worst habit is being messy.

Luke Trotman

Luke Trotman is a semi-professional footballer from Luton.

The 22-year-old is also still a student and his claim to fame is the fact his mother, Beverley Trotman, who came sixth in The X Factor in 2007.

He explained: “I appeared on TV cheering her on in the audience. Shes done a few musicals and shes in the Kingdom Choir now but she didnt perform at Meghan and Harrys wedding!”

Luke rates himself as a “strong 8” and says he always gets compliments about his smile.
He describes himself as positive, smiley and energetic but admits he can be quite stubborn.

Luke says: “I dont have a wandering eye, I wouldnt ever play anyone. I wouldnt lie to someone and then go and do something else. Id try and be open.”

Luke Mabbott

Luke is a 24-year heating engineer from Redcar.

He rates himself an 8 out of 10 with his best feature being his tattoos – and he has about 50 of them.

Luke‘s biggest claim to fame is being mistaken for Justin Bieber.

He said: “Ive walked into clubs and been given VIP table service and free drinks because the Bouncer has thought Im him.”

Rebecca Gormley

Rebecca Gormley is a part-time model and carer from Newcastle.

The stunning 21-year-old was crowned Miss Newcastle in 2018 and came sixth in Miss England 2019.

Rebecca describes herself as fun, loud, fearless, outgoing and spontaneous.

She says her worst habit is “looking people up and down and not realising – I give the wrong impression but Im usually just checking out what theyre wearing”.

Finley Tapp

Finley Tapp is a recruitment consultant from Milton Keynes.

He is also a semi-professional footballer who plays for Oxford City as a defender.

He signed for the club in 2019 following a successful trial.

In 2018, the 20-year-old made his professional debut against Bournemouth while playing for his local side MK Dons.

When still playing for the MK Dons academy, Tapp scored in a 4-1 defeat to Norwich City in 2016.

Paige Turley

Lewis Capaldi‘s former girlfriend Paige Turley is part of the 2020 line-up.

The 22-year-old is a former contestant on Britain’s Got Talent, entering the competition in 2012 when she was just 14.

The Sun revealed in 2019 that pop sensation Lewis’ No1 ballad Someone You Loved was based on a painful break-up from fellow singer Paige.

Lewis dated Paigeon and off from 2014 to 2016 after they met at college in Motherwell and became close.

London boy Mike is the show’s first police officer who admits that he can have a bit of a wandering eye, but claims Im not going to wander for the sake of it.

The 24-year-old is happy to use his job to get girls, claiming: “I can use the cheeky lines about getting handcuffs out! It normally works.”

Mike added that his mum is hoping he’ll find a girlfriend so that he will finally move out of the family home.

Jess Gale

Jess is 20 years old and like her sister Eve, is also a student and a VIP hostess.

The London-born stunner describes herself as very confident and claims she would make a good addition to the villa.

“Id be a good Islander because Im fun, confident and spontaneous.”

Asked to rate herself, Jess gave herself a 7.5, just a little higher than sister Eve who rates herself a 7, and says her best feature is her hair.

Callum Jones

He’s a cheeky 23 year-old whose used to climbing around for work as a scaffolder and is hoping he can build a relationship while in South Africa.

Callum says he’s prepared to go pretty far to get the girl – even if it means stepping on other boys’ toes.

However, whoever couples up with him can hope for the royal treatment as Callum says he can cook and says Thai food is his speciality.

Shaughna Phillips

The brunette beauty says she is “funny, easy-going but a little bit bossy” and seems to be in the villa over a year late as she says Jack Fincham is “a bit of me on toast.

The 25-year-old hasn’t had the best luck in love admitting her last boyfriend cheated on her so anyone who has been unfaithful before will not have a chance of coupling up with her.

Shaughna is keen to make friends as well as find love in the villa and says she won’t go behind someone’s back to get the guy.

Nas Majeed

Completing the line-up for the boys is this23-year-old builderwho hopes he wont put any potential dates of with his bad habit of laughing in awkward situations

Nas claims he’s a well rounded person who is “different to the guys who have been on the show before” but doesn’t think dating means you should be loyal.

Nas added the girls can expect him to be honest in the villa.

Sinnise Fudge

The beauty therapist, 25, claims she’s never been on Tinder or any other dating app in her attempts to find love.

She failed to rate herself on looks but admits her eyebrows are her best feature but any partners in the villa will be shocked to discover her morning laziness.

Sinnise is happy to step on toes to get what she wants.

Which Love Islanders have been eliminated so far?

Sophie Piper – DUMPED

Rochelle Humes younger sister finally made it on to Love Island after advanced talks for Sophie to be in the 2019 summer version fell through.

The office and events manager was dumped from the island in week three after coupling up with Mike in a friendship couple.

Wallace Wilson – DUMPED

Fitness fanatic Wallace is personal trainer and model from Inverness.

The 24-year-old has taken part in bodybuilding contests and spends a significant amount of time toning that six-pack.

The Scottish islander was dumped from the island after the islanders chose to save Rebecca over him.

Leanne Amaning – DUMPED

Customer service advisor Leannerates herself a ten out of ten and says her worst habit is telling a few white lies and being lazy.

The 22-year-old coupled up with Mike from the start and things seemed to be going well for the pair.

However, Leanne had the ‘ick’ leading to her dumping Mike and later on being dumped from the island.

Connor Durman – DUMPED

Connor left the Love Island villa after his fellow islanders chose to save Sophie Piper over him.

The coffee bean salesman had to part ways with Rochelle Hume sister when the safe cast members were forced to decide who to save between the two of them in episode 16.

Connor is a naked butler turned coffee bean salesman, who claims he’s only had a few dates in the past few months.

The 25-year-old spent four years living in Australia and says he’s had two serious relationships but admits he did cheat on one of them.

Connagh Howard – DUMPED

Connagh Howard is a model from Cardiff.

The 27-year-old’s claim to fame is starring in an advert with boxing champ Anthony Joshua.

Eve Gale – DUMPED

VIP hostesses Eve joined the show with her twin sister Jess.

The duo entered the show together, but after Callum chose to couple up with Shaughna instead of Eve, the twin was dumped from the island.

Ollie Williams – QUIT

Self-proclaimed attention seeker Ollie, 23, who happens to be landed gentry, quit Love Island on day three after claiming that he’s still in love with his ex Laura Nofer.

He rates himself a ten out of ten and claims his best chat-up line is: Do you know Polzeath beach in Cornwall? I own it.

But the ladies in the villa will no longer have a chance of being Lady of the Manor of Lanhydrock after his short stint on the show.

How can I watch Love Island?

The new winter series of Love Island airs each night at 9pm on ITV2.

It is the sixth season of the popular reality TV show and the first of two series to be aired in 2020.

Love Island airs every night with a recap of the weeks events on the Saturday Unseen Bits show.

For the 2020 winter edition, Love Island: Aftersun will air every Monday at 10pm after the main show has finished.

Both Love Island and Love Island: Aftersun will also be available to watch on demand on the ITV Hub.
