EAGLE-eyed Love Island viewers spotted a random man lurking in the bushes during last nights opening episode.
As new Islanders Sophie Piper and Connor Durman chatted away on the day beds, a figure was noticeable in the background and fans were quick to form their own ideas on the identity of the mysterious gatecrasher.
Referring to Love Island host Caroline Flack, one Twitter user wrote: Caroline hiding in the bushes somewhere?
Another suggested that a former Islander – namely, Eyal Booker – had perhaps turned up to surprise the cast.
Is that Eyal in the bushes? they wrote.
Meanwhile, several people had the same theory singer Lewis Capaldi was there to spy on his ex-girlfriend, Paige Turley.
@LewisCapaldi what you doing hiding in the bushes mate? said one viewer.
Another wrote: Lewis Capaldi is deffo hiding in the bushes, stalking his ex.
Paige opened up about her relationship with Lewis in her VT and apologised for being a b***h.
She said: “One of my ex boyfriends is Lewis Capaldi. According to the papers his song Some One You Loved was about me.
“Lewis, I’m so sorry I must have been a b***h” to you.”
The Sun previously revealed the glam Scot cheated on Lewis with his best mate, Garry Greig.
A source told The Sun on Sunday: Paige pretends to be a nice girl but within months of dating Lewis, she was cheating with Garry, one of his best friends.
All three of them were touring the music circuit at the time and Paige had dated Garry before she began seeing Lewis. He knew they had a history.
But he had no idea that Paige was seeing Garry while they were together and, as far as we know, still doesnt.
Lewis adored Paige and, at that time, he would have done anything for her. But she obviously didnt feel the same or she wouldnt have betrayed him.
Those of us who knew what was going on felt she was pretty heartless.
Eventually, she dumped Lewis and began officially dating Garry instead, leaving Lewis absolutely devastated. He really thought they had a future.
This will be a real twist of the knife for him when he finds out.
As for the mysterious man in the bushes, the most likely explanation is that hes a crew member.
Fans pointed out a similar blunder last year, after a member of production was seen in the villa ahead of a mass dumping.
Amber Gill was walking away from her fellow Islanders towards the fire pit when the camera panned to show Anna Valiki. A crew member could be seen hiding behind a window.
