THEY met for the first time in front of millions of TV viewers, before seemingly falling head over heels on air in a matter of days.

But while many Love Island couples have struggled to make their romance last in reality, a few have managed to go the distance – with baby bombshells and stunning wedding ceremonies cementing their relationships for good.

And the latest couple to announce that their relationship has reached the next level is Camilla Thurlow and Jamie Jewitt  – who met on the show in 2017 – with the pair expecting a baby together.

They revealed Camilla, 30, is pregnant in a sweet video on Instagram in which they shared their baby scan with family and friends.

The reality couple took their romance to the next level after moving in to their new home last year – having finally moved out of Jamie’s parents’ house – and they’ve now revealed they will welcome their baby into the world in October.

But they’re not the only couple to go the distance. Here we reveal which Islanders are still going strong…

Alex Bowen and Olivia Buckland, 2016

Alex and Olivia have proved their love was solid, even outside the villa

Alex popped the question with a stunning engagement ring

Alex and Olivia were one of the steadiest couples on the 2016 series and have gone from strength to strength since leaving the villa.

The couple got hitched in a star-studded wedding in September 2018, with attendees including including Gabby Allen, TOWIE’s Pete Wicks, and more of their former Love Island co-stars, after Alex proposed to Olivia in New York in December 2016.

They’ve got closer and closer ever since – with the pair settling into a huge new home together – but Olivia recently said she has no plans to start a family with Alex in the coming year, with them instead enjoying some more time together first.

She said: “Kids-wise, we do talk about it, and I think I’m more broody than I used to be and I do want to have kids.

“But we’re just so busy and one of the opportunities I have next year, I might have to move abroad for two months so I wouldn’t be able to have a baby next year anyway.

“So it’s definitely not going to happen next year but I think it’s on the cards, just not sure when.”

Nathan Massey and Cara De La Hoyde, 2016

Parents Nathan and Cara have rekindled their romance and now have a baby – with another on the way

Nathan and Cara were the winners from 2016

The winners from 2016 had a whirlwind romance after leaving the villa, with Cara shocking fans when she announced she was pregnant in May 2017.

Sadly, the pair split while she was pregnant, but they reunited a few weeks before Cara was due to give birth with their baby son Freddie-George.

Nathan and Cara‘s first child was born in December 2017, and they went on to get engaged months later.

With the pair’s romance going from strength to strength, they later tied the knot on June, 29, 2019, in a “beautiful ceremony” surrounded by their friends and family.

Dom Lever and Jess Shears, 2017

Jess and Dom made their relationship work long after the show

There’s no stopping Jess and Dom, who got hitched in October 2018 in a secret ceremony in Mykonos.

But who can forget the moment they had a mock ceremony live on Good Morning Britain on Valentine’s Day?

The loved-up duo welcomed their first baby together last year, but chose to keep details of the birth and his name secret for months, to enjoy private time together as a family.

Discussing their decision to withhold their son’s name in December, Jess explained they wanted to remain in the “newborn bubble” and keep something between just them.  They’re yet to reveal his name.

Molly-Mae and Tommy Fury, 2019

Tommy and Molly-Mae have since moved in together
Molly-Mae and Tommy had chemistry from word go

Molly, 20, and Tommy, 21, finished as runners up in the 2019 final after winning the nation’s hearts when they became the first official couple on the series – and the pair are still happily together now.

The pair – who are currently in lockdown in their Manchester apartment – have put on a series of loved up public displays on Instagram in the months since, and regularly spend quality family time together with Tommy’s family – including famous boxer brother Tyson Fury.

Despite appearing happier than ever, Molly recently admitted she’s asked Tommy not to pop the question anytime soon as they’re both “too young”.

She said: “Tommy would literally propose to me tomorrow if I would let him. But I keep saying, ‘No, let’s just wait, let’s just wait,’ because I’m too young.

“It will happen one day and it’s something we can look forward to together, so I just wanna leave it for another day. They are two things that will happen soon hopefully.”

However, that hasn’t stopped the couple from discussing their future family plans, and Molly added: “I don’t think it’ll be years and years and years and years before we have a baby.”

Callum Jones and Molly Smith, 2020

The couple were together for several days before being booted out of the villa

Callum and Molly, who famously hooked up in the villa earlier this year after he dumped Shaughna Phillips for her, are in lockdown together during coronavirus lockdown – apparently stronger than ever.

The pair have been pictured on a series of walks together close to Molly’s home in Manchester.

Speaking last month, they finally revealed they had made their relationship official.

Callum told OK!: “We are boyfriend and girlfriend now. What it was is, I said to her: ‘We’re courting.’ She said: ‘Courting? That means we’re together’.

“And I said: ‘Oh does it?’ And she said: ‘Yeah’. I was like: ‘All right then’ and she was like: ‘Are you asking me to be your girlfriend?’

“I was like: ‘Yeah’. And that’s how it come about.”

Whoever said romance was dead?

Paige Turley and Finley Tapp, 2020

The winners of the latest Love Island series have proved their romance is very real, as they spend lockdown together in Scotland.

And the couple aren’t wasting any time in moving forward with their romance – revealing they are going to start a family “quickly”.

Paige and Finn are also planning to get married – despite not being engaged yet – and say they could well have two weddings because they can’t agree on where to hold their big day.

Paige and Finn are isolating together and already planning their future

Low-key Finn told OK! Magazine: “I would like a big traditional church wedding in my local church because that’s where my parents and their parents got married.

“We’re going to have to come to a compromise. We can’t agree so maybe we’ll have two weddings!”

One thing they do agree on is starting a family though and it sounds like it won’t be long until there are more Love Island babies running around.

Siannise Fudge and Luke Trotman, 2020

Siannise fell head over heels for Luke when he entered the villa

Former villa stars Siannise and Luke are currently on lockdown in Luke’s home, looking more loved up than ever.

Last month the pair revealed they had only spent one hour apart since leaving the Love Island villa – and they’ve been busy sharing funny videos together ever since.

Luke said: “We both said that we felt like we had won once we had each other. We weren’t bothered what happened after that.”

Siannise and Luke’s love goes far beyond the confines of the ITV villa

Siannise added: “We were just blessed to get that far, so it was a bonus to us really. Like Luke said, we felt like we won just meeting each other.”

Luke later continued: “The longest we’ve been apart is about an hour!”

Eve Zapico and Nas Majeed, 2020

Eve Zapico and Nas Majeed missed out on the top spot after a brief romance in the villa

They found a connection very late on in the series, soon after Nas ditched the gorgeous redhead Demi Jones for the Casa Amor bombshell., but Eve and Naz appear to have made it work back home all the same.

While they’re isolating away from each other, Eve recently shared a sweet message to her beau on Instagram, alongside a photo of them together on their way from from the villa at the start of this year.

She wrote: “The most hideous pic on ur feed but I love it because it’s real… This was taken on our way to go home for the first time after Love Island, hence how tired we look…

“I can’t believe it’s been almost 3 months since the villa and 6 weeks since I’ve seen youuuu!! (In real life not FaceTime) MISS YOU.”

Nas appears to have made it official with Eve in the real world

The couple enjoyed a night out in Manchester before lockdown and also filmed some content with ISawItFirst, alongside fellow islanders Rebecca Gormley, Biggs Chris and Jordan Waobikeze.

They also spent Valentine’s Day together, having dinner at a fancy restaurant.

Jess Gale and Ched Uzor, 2020

Ched proved his strength to Jess from early on

Jess Gale was left bereft when her twin Eve was booted out the villa, but went on to find love with Chez Uzor – and they appear to still be going strong.

However, the reality star was forced to address rumours that she and 23-year-old scaffolder Ched were on the rocks recently.

Taking to Instagram Stories, Jess and Eve addressed a string of fan questions.

A follower asked: “Are you and Ched still together I never see you most post much?”

Jess has bonded with Ched since leaving the show and has introduced him to twin Eve

The student responded: “Yeah, me and Ched are still together. About the whole posting thing, I feel like we are maybe quite private and I don’t feel the need to plaster him all over social media whenever we do something or whenever we go out. We put our phones away and enjoy each other’s company.”

And despite appearing happier than ever with Ched, Jess revealed they’re yet to take their romance to the next level.

She continued: “Me and Ched aren’t official yet. I feel like it hasn’t been that long.”

Luke Mabbott and Demi Jones, 2020

Luke Mabbott found love with Demi near the end of the series

Another couple to take things from friendship to more at the last minute of the winter series was Luke and Demi – but despite isolating away from each other, they still appear to be an item.

While fans grew concerned recently that they may have split, with Luke not commenting or liking many of his partner’s Instagram posts, reps for both of them denied they’ve split and said the Islanders are very much still together.

Sure enough, Luke has since been seen liking and sharing besotted emojis on a string of stunning photos of Demi online – proving he’s very much her biggest fan.

Luke and Demi are each others biggest fans on social media

In an Instagram Q&A recently, Luke said: “Me and Demi are good, obviously this lockdown is really hard for us.

“Obviously, we do see each other quite a bit, before that we were staying in hotels and working together and she’s spending lockdown with her family and I’m spending it with mine.

“We do Facetime, Snapchat and talk so we are going good.”

Priscilla Anyabu and Mike Boateng, 2020

Priscilla and Mike bonded over a pretend baby in the villa

Priscilla and Mike have been enjoying many loved up social media moments together in recent weeks, exchanging sweet comments and even filming videos together.

The pair have begun a series of hilarious parody videos together, apparently confirming they’ve chosen to isolate by each other’s side, and fans are loving their chemistry.

Priscilla and Mike have truly proved each other’s type on paper

With clips of them cooking together, on road trips and sharing some very romantic poses, they look stronger than ever since getting close on the series.

While Mike has referred to stunning Priscilla as his “peace” online, he’s also shared photos of them cuddled up together and lovingly named her his “quarantine bae”.

Could there be more wedding bells and baby surprises to come?
