LOVE Island’s Mike Boateng was relentlessly mocked on Twitter by fans after he said he could be Jess Gale’s “sexy side dish”.
Even his own brother Samuel, who has control of his Twitter, called out the cheesy comment and he wrote on his account: “did Mike just say, sexy side dish”.
Former copper Mike had been trying to convince Jess that he isn’t playing games when he made his move, after kicking Leanne out of the villa the night before.
In an attempt to flirt, he repeatedly said he was the ‘side dish’ because Jess is already coupled up with Luke M.
Viewers were in hysterics and agreed with Samuel that the comment was beyond cringe.

After Leanne brutally dumped Mike, the police officer has been on the hunt for a new girl.
First he tried Sophie, who put him firmly in the friendzone by calling him “uncle Mike”.
So then he moved onto Jess.
In one of the chats, he gets close to Jess and wraps his arms – and a duvet – round her shoulders.
A teaser for Friday’s episode sees a showdown between Mike and Luke M as the boys fight over her.
Luke M had enough by this point, storming over and demanding to pull her to the side for a chat.

In their chat, Jess reassures Luke M that the ship has sailed, while Mike gloats to the other Islanders that the “game is on” – meaning he’s not stopping.
The preview at the end of the episode saw the tensions heat up, with Jess wondering who she actually likes.
