LOVE Island contestant Ollie Williams’ family home is under 24-hour guard after being targeted by animal lovers, according to reports.

The 23-year-old Islander suffered backlash when we revealed that he was a big game hunter last week, and quit the ITV2 dating show after just three days.

Activists are now said to have threatened the millionaire heir’s family, leaving imposing messages on the answer machine at their Lanhydrock estate in Cornwall.

Ollie’s worried parents, Andrew and Clare Williams, have now employed strict security measures at their sprawling mansion – and alerted Devon and Cornwall Police to the message.

Ollie’s mum and dad are currently staying elsewhere, but a local security firm are snapping pictures of every visiting car’s licence plate as they keep watch 24 hours a day.

A source explained: “There has been some threats made against Ollie and his family from animal rights activists after images of him on trophy hunts were made public.”

The insider added to MailOnline: “There has been a security presence at the family home today and there will be for the foreseeable future.

“It is round-the clock and the guards are working in shifts to keep watch.

“Everyone who visits is having their details recorded and the registration plates of their vehicles photographed as a precaution.”

The Sun Online have contacted Love Island reps for comment.

Ollie’s sister took to social media to beg fans to stop sending the family abuse

Ollie’s sister Eloise previously took to her Instagram page to beg Love Island fans to stop sending the family abuse.

Last night, Ollie was seen leaving the show after realising that he is still in love with his ex-girlfriend.

However, cynical fans have claimed that he DIDN’T quit for love, and was actually forced out by producers amid the trophy-hunting row.

Viewers believe that producers TOLD Ollie to leave – which reps have denied

They even slammed his “scripted” exit speech, branding his reason for leaving as “clearly fake”.

Last week, The Sun Online revealed that the Viscount-in-waiting is a big game hunter, enraging Love Island fans.

Despite the furious backlash, ITV bosses refused to axe Ollie from the line-up, and he entered the villa on Sunday night as planned – sparking 500 Ofcom complaints and a 40,000-strong petition to have him removed.

Ollie also had a difficult time once in the villa, being snubbed when none of the girls stepped forward for him in the first coupling ceremony.

He was then partnered with Paige, who appeared to show an instant dislike for him due to confessions that he’d cheated on an ex in the past.

Love Island bosses yesterday insisted that Ollie wasn’t told about the controversy surrounding his hunting before leaving the villa, but they went on to say that they were offering him support now as part of their “duty of care”.
