Love Island pushed back by an hour tonight as Brit Awards coverage causes turmoil in ITV schedules

LOVE Island won’t air until 10pm tonight as ITV changes its telly schedule amid coverage of the Brit Awards.

The ITV2 dating show has been pushed back by an hour in a bid to stop Brit Awards viewers switching channels before the end.

Five couples are at risk of being dumped from the Love Island villa

Jack Whitehall returns as host for the 40th year of the annual music awards.

Sir Rod Stewart is the superstar chosen this year to close the show after celebrating 50 years in showbiz.

The show-stopping line-up already includes Grammy Award-winning singer,Billie Eilish, 18,Harry Styles, 26, US star,Lizzo, 31, and Brit man-of-the-momentLewis Capaldi, 23.

The celebrations – being filmed live at Londons O2 Arena tonight – have meant that Love Island will air later than usual.

It is being replaced by 20-year-old film Coyote Ugly on ITV2 between 8-10pm.

Five couples are at risk of being dumped from the villa this evening after being voted the “least compatible” by their fellow Islanders.

The seven remaining couples were each tasked with voting for the two couples they felt were the least compatible and had to give their answers in front of the group.

The only pairs not to receive a vote and are now safe from the dumping are Paige Turley and Finn Tapp and Siannise Fudge and Luke Trotman.

It means one couple from Jamie McCann and Natalia Zoppa, Callum Jones and Molly Smith, Luke Mabbott and Demi Jones, Mike Boateng and Priscilla Anyabu and Jess Gale and Ched Uzor will be sent home.

Love Island returned last night with an emotional tribute to Caroline Flack

Tonight’s rescheduling follows last night’s emotional episode which paid tribute to the late Caroline Flack who found dead after taking her own life at her flat inNorth East London, on Saturday.

Devastated narrator Iain Stirling fought back tears as he described the late star as a “true friend” and said he was going to miss her.

Spoken over footage of the ocean, Iain said: “We are all devastated that Caroline, a much loved member of our Love Island family, has passed away.

“Our thoughts are with her family and friends at this dreadful time.”
