SHE was the nurse turned lads’ mag favourite, who every teenage boy had a poster of on their walls, but these days Abi Titmuss is a mum-of-one living in LA.
The 45-year-old – who now goes by the name Abigail Evelyn – does still work as an actress, but her days of modelling are well behind her.
She is now married to American musician Ari Welkom, who she shares her son with.
Abi met him on the set of Days Of Our Lives when she joined the cast in 2015.
The star has shied away from the public eye since relocating and was last seen two years ago – looking a far cry from the glamour model most Brits remember.
Abi first rose to fame as the girlfriend of ex Blue Peter presenter John Leslie, which led her into modelling.
After their split Abi went on to become a reality TV star, appearing in Celebrity Love Island, Hell’s Kitchen and Come Dine With Me.
In 2004 and 2005, she appeared on the cover of UK men’s magazines 38 times.
She later opened up about her struggled with fame before she found peace in the States.
Abi explained: “Financially I did very well but it came at a great emotional cost. I had very low self-esteem because I didn’t understand why it had happened to me and I didn’t think I deserved any of it.
“I started getting my self-esteem from the camera lens and that is a dangerous place to be. If I was not on the front page I would worry.
“I was self-medicating with drink, drugs, shopping, food, relationships – you name it. I was going out every night… you enter a twilight zone.”
