LOVE Island will pay tribute to Caroline Flack during tonights finale after finally telling the islanders about her tragic death.

The remaining couples were told off camera yesterday about her passing, after being kept in the dark since last weekend.

Tonight’s Love Island will pay tribute to Caroline Flack

The live finale this evening, which will be hosted by Laura Whitmore, will include a eulogy for the former host.

A rep for the show said: There will be a dedication to Caroline in tonights final episode. The Islanders have been informed of the news of Caroline off camera ahead of the final.

Caroline was found dead at her east London home on Saturday last week, having taken her own life at the age of 40.

The hit ITV2 programme, which she famously fronted, was taken off air for two nights.

It returned on Monday evening with an emotional tribute from the shows narrator Iain Stirling.

The devastated comedian fought back tears as he described the late star as a “true friend” and said he was going to miss her.

Spoken over footage of the ocean, Iain said: “We are all devastated that Caroline, a much loved member of our Love Island family, has passed away.

“Our thoughts are with her family and friends at this dreadful time.

The show previously paid tribute on Monday evening

“Caroline and me were together from the very start of Love Island. Her passion, warmth and infectious enthusiasm are a crucial part of what made the show connect with millions of viewers.

“Like many of you, we’re still trying to come to terms with what’s happened. My only hope is that we can try and be kinder, always show love and listen to one another.

“Caroline, I want to thank you for all the fun times making our favourite show. You were a true friend to me. Im gonna miss you Caz.”

Tonight four couples will battle it out to be crowned the winners of Love Island’s first winter series, with Luke Trotman and Siannise Fudge tipped for the cash prize.

Finley Tapp and Paige Turley, Luke Mabbott and Demi Jones, and Ched Uzor and Jess Gale are also in the running.

The winners will receive a prize of 50,000, which they will choose to either split or steal.

The Love Island final takes place at 9pm on ITV2 tonight.
