LOVE Island winners Paige Turley and Finn Tapp have spoken of their shock at Caroline Flacks tragic death.
The pair, who were crowned champions in dramatic scenes last night, told The Sun that producers broke the news of the former host’s suicide before the last show.
Finn said: ‘We loved her as a fan watching on telly over the past few series’
He explained: We were told just before the final. They wanted to tell us at the best time and the best way and were thankful that they did that.
We remember her fondly. We loved her as a fan watching it on telly over the past few series, thats the relationship we had with her.
Paige added: Everybody knew how much she loved Love Island. Its such a sensitive subject, we just send love to Carolines family.
Love Island viewers were in tears last night after the show paid tribute to Caroline during its big finale show.

Paige and Finn stayed loyal to each other for the whole series
Tearful host Laura Whitmore, who took over as host, introduced the tribute, saying: “The past week has been extremely difficult, coming to terms with the loss of our friend and colleague, Caroline.
“We’re thinking of her family and everyone who knew her at this time.
“Caroline loved Love Island, she loved love and that’s why tonight’s final is dedicated to her.”
While the song Feel The Love by Rudimental played, shots of Caroline walking into the villa, meeting the Islanders and hosting the Aftersun spin-off show played on screen.
Speaking to The Sun today, Paige said she was refusing to bow to ex-boyfriend Lewis Capaldis demand for some of her prize money so she can pay her debts.
The chart-topper joked in January that he deserves some of the cash if she wins because he is the reason why she earned a place on the ITV2 show.
She said: Thats just Lewis, it comes as no surprise he said that. But I cant give him any money because once I pay off my debts therell be nothing left.
