LOVE Island’s Alex Beattie revealed scars from his painful condition that rips his skin and covers his body.

The reality star, 26, was praised by fans for being more open as he vowed to be more honest on social media.

Alex shared a picture of himself in Dubai

Alex – who appeared on the third series of the show – said he has a “bunch of skin conditions”, including eczema, that cause a lot of issues.

He shared a photo of him shirtless in a car in Dubai, then a video where he revealed the scars around his eyes.

The hunk captioned the post: “Reality: One of my goals in the following year online is to be more transparent, it ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. Some will find this weird to post and some will relate, I guess we’ll see.

“One thing many people don’t know about me is that I suffer from a bunch of skin conditions, mainly around this time of the year.

He then revealed the effects of his skin condition

He has scars over his face because of it

“It used to be all over my body (eczema) now it mainly just on the inside of my arms and around my neck.

“The difference between these two photos is a matter of weeks, even in dubai my neck was really bad. So bad that when I looked in a direction the skin would tear. Not ideal when looking at the tallest building in the world .

“I guess I’m just posting this to show you we all have shit times now and again, it’s totally human I’ve been going through patches of it for 26 years. So don’t feel sorry for me or anything like that I’m a pretty tough cookie.

“Also don’t feel like it’s only you that goes through things as that’s the image apps like Instagram can portray (highlight reel) I’m a culprit of not sharing the not so good days on here.

He said his skin sometimes tears when he moves

“But anyhow. I’m on the mend it’s past it’s worse this year. Any skin gurus out there I’d love to hear from you and understand more about what’s going on, I also need an allergy test to see what makes me flare up as I know some foods are a definite no go .

“Hope you’re all keeping well and having a nice little break from the madness. I’m beyond excited to get to work with you all from January 4th. See you on the other side team.”
