Love Island’s Cara De La Hoyde opened up about the trauma of giving birth admitting that she “wanted to die” during her horrific labour.

The reality star, 26, shared stories from her painful labour experience confessing just how much it “hurts” – even the second time round.

The star gave an honest account of her birthing experience as fans asked her a series of questions on an Instagram Q & A.

Cara was asked by a fan if labour was painful, she replied: “Horrific! No joke how you’re going through it and not dying I have no idea.

“Take whatever pain relief you want, don’t be a hero for the sake of it but I did it again so you do forget about it.”

The mum-of-two admitted that was scared to give birth for the second time as she knew what to expect.

One fan said that she was scared of giving birth for the second time and if Cara had felt the same, Cara wrote: “So was I so much more than with Fred, I think it’s because you know what to expect this time and how much it hurts.

“But honestly was a lot easier. Like I still wanted to die but it didn’t seem as bad after the first time.”

Cara goes on to say that she had a natural birth but not out of choice, she added: “I would have taken all the pain relief I could if I could have, with both by the time I decided what I wanted was too late.”

She joked: “I’m not one for all this hypnobirthing I don’t want any pain relief bo**ocks. That’s deffo things you hear from a first time mum.

“If you’ve done it and felt it, you want all the drugs they can give you.”

Cara recently opened up about the difficulties of motherhood and explained that her son Freddie hasn’t been listening to her.

Taking to Instagram, she said: “It’s been a really tough week for everyone.”

Opening up about her change in diet and lifestyle, she said: “I’ve changed my diet; I normally live on spicy foods. I’ve stopped having spice and fizzy, I’ve been drinking loads of water. I don’t drink or smoke anymore.”

She added: “It’s really stressful. He doesn’t listen to anything I say. If I tell him off, he tells me off or scratches and pinches me.

“But then I don’t really want to tell him off. I don’t want him to feel pushed out. He’s not really a massive joy to be around at the moment.

Cara gave birth to Delilah in July, the star was rushed to hospital to be induced after being diagnosed with pre eclampsia.

They met on the second series of Love Island in 2016, which they went on to win.

The couple soon reunited and married in July 2019, before revealing they were pregnant with their second in March this year.

They split the following year – just a month before Cara revealed that she was pregnant with their first child, two-year-old son Freddie-George.
