Posting a sweet pic of her scan to her Instagram account, Cara gushed about her experience at the hospital amongst the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic to her 1.1 million followers.

She said: “So yesterday I have my 20 week scan, I can honestly say the whole experience was so calm and the nurses are amazing ❤ I wore gloves but I felt totally at ease & safe. If you have a scan coming up please don’t worry the hospitals are really doing everything they can to relax you ✨

Her fans were quick to comment on the adorable post asking Cara questions about what happened now so many extra safety precautions are in place.

One wondered if Cara’s Love Island partner Nathan had been able to come to the scan with her, to which she revealed he hadn’t been able to join her in order to respect social distancing rules.

She wrote: “no, my local hospital isn’t allowing partners in atal. Ino it’s upsetting but honestly it made sense and I think being all pregnant women actually put everyone at more ease x [sic]”

Lots of fans were glad to hear Cara’s sensible advice and said it reassured them to know how hospitals were responding to the coronavirus.

Cara also asked her fans if they thought she was having a boy or girl, with lots of her famous friends giving their opinions.

Ex-EastEnder and queen of the jungle Jacqueline Jossa commented with a blue heart, to which Cara replied saying she wanted to be part of her girl gang.

The couple met on Love Island in 2016 and despite a few ups and downs are very happy together

Cara, 29, and Nathan, 27, revealed they were expecting their second baby in March this year. The couple fell in love after meeting on Love Island in 2016 and went on to win the series.

They split the following year – just a month before Cara revealed she was pregnant with their first baby.

They blamed the “pressures of coming off a TV show” for the split, but the pair worked through their problems and were back together by the time they welcomed Freddie in December 2017.

Looking back on their brief time apart, Nathan credits Freddie for bringing them closer together.

At the time he said: “Since we’ve had Fred, I don’t think we’ve argued once – we get on so well now. Having Fred completely changed our relationship for the better.”

Cara and Nathan went on to tie the knot in a lavish ceremony in June 2019.

Tonight, Thursday 2nd April, will see another Clap for our Carers at 8pm.

It follows on from last Thursday when the tribute to NHS staff began, with HOAR calling for the tribute to happen every Thursday.

Millions of people across the UK stood and clapped from their doorways in unison to honour staff and carers who have been working tirelessly throughout the coronavirus pandemic.
