LOVE Island star Lucie Donlan has hit out at the “selfish” people who are fleeing the cities for a coronavirus holiday in Cornwall.

The 22-year-old, who lives in Newquay, has become increasingly frustrated by the situation – pointing out there is only one hospital in the whole of Cornwall.

Lucie Donlan has hit out at people heading to Cornwall to escape the coronavirus

After expressing her opinion earlier in the week, she ranted again today: “So apparently the A30 is jam packed of people from cities coming down to Cornwall for holidays/ spend time in their holiday homes.

“If anyone saw my stories of information the other day on Cornwall at this time. WE HAVE ONE HOSPITAL. This is madness why they are still coming down here.”

She later added: “In the nicest way possible please don’t come down on holiday. We’ve got the highest amount of older people down here… please don’t be selfish.”

Her comments come as Steve Double, MP for St Austell and Newquay and Anthony Mangnall, MP for Totnes, also urged people not to come to the county on holiday.

Double said: “As a proud Cornishman I never thought I would say this, but please do not come to Cornwall for a holiday in the coming weeks.”

Yesterday it was reported that there are 63 cases across both Devon and Cornwall and two people have died from it in Devon.

The Prime Minister has urged people to stay at home and avoid travelling unless it is essential.

Lucie – who rose to fame on the dating show last summer – has been keeping her followers entertained on Instagram with funny videos and by posing in her bra.

She is currently single following her split from Joe Garratt, who she met on the show.
