LOVE Island’s Luke Mabbott looked horrified when his date Jess Gale thought Middlesborough was near London – despite the 244-mile distance.
The 24-year-old heating engineer spent time getting to know the twin on an intimate date, but got more than he bargained for with an amusing geography fail.
Luke M couldn’t hide the look on his face when Jess asked the stupid question
Jess told the Justin Bieber lookalike: “I used to live in Cambridge with my family, but now I’ve moved to London because I go to university there.
“I study psychology. Where do you live again?”
Explaining where his hometown is, Luke said: “Do you know Middlesborough?”
Jess replied: “OK, is that near London?”
Jess was enjoying a flirty chat with Luke when she made the slip up
Pulling a shocked face, Luke replied: “No. No where near London. Absolutely not.”
Jess laughed off the embarrassing gaffe before they continued with their hot date.
One said: Did Jess really just ask if Middlesbrough was near London. I cant #LoveIsland.”
Another added: “Lmaooo I still cant believe Jess asked if Middlesbrough was near London wtfff??”
Let’s hope it didn’t put off Luke M who ended up with Jess when she picked him in the recoupling.
Jess’ twin Eve – who lost her place in the villa earlier this week – studies geography at Kings College London.
But she suffered a cringe-worthy moment while making her debut on the ITV2 show despite her geography skills.
The blonde bombshell was on a double date with Jess and boys Callum and Mike when she asked which city is half way between Manchester and London.
