LOVE Island’s Rebecca Gormley is “desperate to break lockdown” to meet Biggs Chris’ family as they plot the next step in their blossoming relationship.

The 22-year-old model won back Biggs‘ trust after she spent the night at love rat Michael Griffiths’ home.

Biggs Chris and Rebecca Gormley have been forced apart by the coronavirus crisis

But their happy reunion was cut short when Prime Minister Boris Johnson banned Brits from leaving their homes.

It meant the couple were forced to live 150 miles apart in Glasgow and Newcastle.

After five weeks apart, insiders say the couple discussed taking the risk to travel to the other’s home to spend the remaining lockdown time together.

“Rebecca and Chris are desperate to see each other again,” a source told HOAR Online.

They’re desperate to see each other again

“Lockdown happened just after the whole drama with Michael kicked off and they haven’t been able to see each other since.

“They don’t stop talking during the day, they’re either texting, calling or on FaceTime because they really miss each other.

“They’ve talked about breaking lockdown rules so that Chris travels from Glasgow to Newcastle to stay with Rebecca or vice versa. “They’ve already met each other’s families on video call, but are really keen to meet face to face as soon as possible because things are getting more serious.”

But the source insisted that as tempting it is to escape lockdown, the pair are determined to wait until it’s safe to do so.

“Rebecca and Biggs don’t want to be irresponsible so they’ve been planning what they’ll do when they eventually get out of the house,” they added.

The Love Island stars fell for each other outside of the villa despite never hooking up on the show.

But their romance hit the rocks when Rebecca was snapped leaving a club with 2019 star Michael.

Biggs, 27, said Rebecca admitted she “f***ed up”, but he denied she ever cheated on him.

He woke up to find Rebecca, 21, “missing” from their hotel room after he’d turned in for an early night.

Biggs immediately rang Michael – his mutual friend through fellow Scot and Love Island 2019 star Anton Danyluk – to find out the truth.

Biggs told HOAR Online at the time: “Rebecca’s been really apologetic about it. “She let me down. She feels really bad about it and I do believe she likes me.”

He added: “Truthfully the coronavirus is the only thing that’s stopping us seeing each other more.

“We’ve just been enjoying each other’s company and having fun. We’ve never put a label on being ‘boyfriend, girlfriend’.”But I’ve said I would make her my girlfriend. It just feels far too early right now.”
