LAURA Whitmore has clapped back at Instagram trolls who said they were “fed up” with her showing off her baby bump.
The 35-year-old, who announced she was pregnant earlier this month, shared a photograph of herself cradling her bump on Saturday night.
Following reports of a secret wedding to boyfriend Iain Stirling, who the TV presenter stars alongside in Love Island, Laura revealed the pair were expecting.
She shared a photo of her blossoming bump while glammed up and dressed in black lace underwear, reclining on a white sofa.
“Guess it’s the sofa for the next while so…” Laura wrote in response to the news that London and the South East were moving into Tier 4 restrictions.
While many fans found the post amusing, and shared their love for her baby news, trolls took the opportunity to spread hate.
Laura wasn’t to let it ruin her joy – and hit back at the bitter Instagram users, defending her pregnancy snaps.
“Where’s your dignity, girl? Less it more,” wrote one cruel follower, with Laura responding alongside a thinking emoji: “Where’s yours?”
Another critic added: “You were literally saying two minutes ago that you weren’t promoting your pregnancy. Literally bored of it already.”
Laura quickly replied: “Looks more like I’m ‘promoting’ my upcoming sofa use…”
Another hater added: “It seems you just shared the announcement to be able to strut around in underwear and show off your bump? It’s a bit confusing.”
Laura clapped back: “Or now I’m in a place where I’m comfortable and want to take control instead of other people trying to.
“What’s odd is coming on someone else’s page and judging wouldn’t you agree?”
When a fourth shamed her for “showing off” her bump, she calmly added: “It’s my choice what I show, quite simple really.”
The TV host managed to keep her baby joy under wraps for many months – and amongst the hate, adoring followers shared kinder comments.
“Stunning – wish I looked so good at 6 months pregnant so enjoy every minute,” wrote one woman, with another responding: “So empowering”.
