He explained: “There were various couples who paired up. We had the Fincham and Wallace show; we had Lucy Fallon and Joe Weller; Tom Watson and Craig Charles – the grandads – they were fantastic.”

Shaun added to The Mirror: “Everyone teamed up and had little partnerships going on.”

The comment comes after viewers claimed that Lucy and Joe, both 24, were “flirting” in last night’s launch episode of the show.

“Not everyone has been impressed though. Lucy’s had a few messages from people about her friendship with Joe.

“She’s adamant they’re just pals and it’s nothing more but people who knew her and Tom as a couple think it’s a pretty bad look.”
