LOVE Island’s Megan Barton Hanson dumped her lover after we revealed he was married and only tied the knot last year.
Megan, 26, discovered wealthy property developer Harry Fenner, 30, was wed when we approached her.
But Charlotte, his distraught wife of 11 months, is standing by him — with Harry telling her it was a one-off mistake.
Harry, who has been secretly seeing Megan for nearly four months, told his gutted spouse he was only offering the reality star property advice when he was pictured snogging her in a Southend park.
A source said: “Megan was furious she had been lied to and told him where to stick it immediately when it came out.
“It was one of the first things she asked him when they first started chatting, whether he was single. And he insisted he was.
“As soon as she found out it had all been a giant lie, she got rid immediately.
“To say they’d only met in the park, on one occasion, is not true.
“They’ve been chatting for months and had met before.”
Grovelling Harry — a former judo talent once tipped to be a star of the London 2012 Olympics — managed to convince Charlotte it was a mistake.
He told her he was trying to help former stripper Megan with her property portfolio when a few drinks led to them snogging in front of shocked onlookers.
A source close to Harry added: “It was a sunny day and things got out of hand.
“He’s told Charlotte he’s made a silly mistake and begged her to forgive him, which she has.
“She doesn’t want to throw away their relationship but equally he’s not very popular in his household right now.”
We yesterday revealed pictures of the pair snogging in the park on Friday afternoon.
Megan — who finished fourth in Love Island with Wes Nelson in 2018 — and Harry also shared an ice cream and canoodled in his Lamborghini.
He avoided jail in 2008 after a car crash which killed his girlfriend Jade McKinnon, 17.
