YOU might have started to layer up now the frosty mornings are here. But did you know you can also layer up on your savings too?

From money-saving apps to vouchers, here are my favourite ways to pile on the savings . . .

From money-saving apps to vouchers – we reveal some of our favourite ways to pile on the savings

CASHBACK: There are many cashback sites to take advantage of. Luckily, most can be used alongside other offers.

For example, existing and new members of Topcashback.co.uk can gain cashback on purchases with selected retailers.

At the moment you can bag a bargain in the sale at urbanoutfitters.com. But new members who shop via Topcashback.co.uk can save a further 12% on their order — saving you up to 50% on your purchase.

You can also use Airtime Rewards to drive down your phone bill and layer promos on top.

’APPY DAYS: Receipt Hog is championed by so many money bloggers because it is a great free app.

Snap a picture of any receipt and upload it to the app to start raking it in.

Once your account starts adding up, you can exchange your coins for vouchers or cash via Paypal. It’s so easy.

Visit receipthog.com to find out more.

VOUCH FOR THAT: Who doesn’t love a discount code? For example, argos.co.uk often has discount codes listed with certain products and you can use as many codes in one transaction as long as they all apply to the item you are purchasing.

Most of them can also be used on top of sale items.

I’d also recommend installing Honey or Pouch on your browser: this scans the internet for voucher codes that you can apply to your basket.

PAYS TO BE LOYAL: It really does pay to be a member of loyalty schemes and memberships, especially when you shop with a particular brand often.

I recently made a trip to Superdrug to buy some hand cream.

Luckily it was on offer and when I went to pay and scanned my membership card, I had £2 in points, making it just £1. This also applies to supermarkets, such as Tesco.
