MCDONALD’S fans only have until the end of today to buy the fast food chain’s Katsu curry chicken nuggets.

The snack, and three other items including the Big Tasty and McFlurry Galaxy Salted Caramel, are being taken off the menu to make room for new products.

McDonald’s Katsu nuggets start from £3.59 for a box of six

In case you’ve never tried them, McDonald’s Katsu nuggets are a new take on the classic chicken McNuggets.

Instead of the traditional crispy coating, the chicken breast pieces are wrapped in curry panko breadcrumbs and also come with a sweet curry dip.

They’re available to buy in boxes of either six, nine or 20, with prices ranging from £3.59 to £5.99.

The nuggets were launched as a limited edition item on December 30, along with the Big Tasty, Big Tasty with Bacon and McFlurry Galaxy Salted Caramel.

These products were always planned for a limited time of six weeks, which means today, February 9, is the last day to try them.

Fans of the Katsu nuggets have pleaded with McDonald’s to make the dish a permanent addition.

But the menu change does mean new items to try for McDonald’s fans.

There will be six new products available from February 10, again for a limited six week run, including the Grand Big Mac.

A regular Big Mac is made up of two beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, and onions and is sandwiched between a three-piece sesame seed bun.

The Grand Big Mac is the same but is a larger size and is priced at £4.39 for just the burger or from £5.79 as part of a meal.

There will also be the Grand Big Mac with Bacon, costing £4.79 for just the burger, or £6.19 for a medium meal.

Both burgers were last available in January 2020.

Other products joining the menu from tomorrow include the new Homestyle Crispy Chicken burger, plus the return of mozzarella dippers, McFlurry with Flake and McFlurry with Raspberry Flake.

Homestyle Crispy Chicken is the only new product is made up of crispy chicken breast, hot and spicy mayo and caramelised onion compote, lettuce, bacon, red onions, and cheese.

Each burger will cost £4.79 on its own, or £6.09 for a medium meal.

Mozzarella Dippers, which are cheese sticks coated in breadcrumbs and served with a salsa dip, are also back from tomorrow.

You can get these in a sharing box of nine for £5.09, or three dippers for £1.89.

The last menu additions are McFlurry with Flake, and the McFlurry with Raspberry Flake, which will be available in regular and mini sizes, priced at £1.39 and 99p.

McDonald’s restaurants are currently closed for dine-in and walk-in takeaway.

But customers can still order for home delivery via Just Eat or Uber Eats, or through a McDonald’s drive-thru.

Just keep in mind that if you’re ordering food from Just Eat or Uber Eats, you’ll pay extra for delivery.

This usually varies depending on how far away from the restaurant you are and you’ll be told the price before you pay for your food.

You can find your nearest McDonald’s by using its restaurant locator tool.
